Russell 20
I really think that the winner loses to Belfry, but at least one team gets to play another week.

Lets Go Devils show them Bobcats how Russell plays football and prove all doubters wrong. Defend the R

Where is that prediction from? I really think the fans are going to be in for a treat. This should be a very good game from start to finish. From what I'm reading most thing these two are somewhat evenly matched teams. I think this one will be won at the line of scrimmage. Russell line has come a long ways since that first game of the season against Greenup. I can't say how good Breathitt's line is because I have not seen them play as most of us from Russell. Myself as most are really not concerned with the running game of Breathitt I think we will defend that. It's the passing game that most of us fear. I just have a good feeling that we learned a few good lessons from the game against Mason County. Russell will make a few changes to correct the problem. Will the changes be enough? We will all find out on Friday.

I will take the Red Devils by 10 points.

The prediction is a computerized prediction process that takes the power ratings and the offense and defense stats and spits out a summary. Yea I know it is a computer process but it has been very close for me in the past couple of weeks. if I would have used it instead of my heart in the weekly picks I think i would be a lot better off that where I am. BUT I too was hesitant at first about this system but the fewer the teams the more accurate it is. Sorry Cant give up my source but it is intersting at best.

That's a fact. I am sure Gary Morris and the defensive staff, have already been pouring over Breathitt films this past weekend, plus the films of our defense on friday night.
If there is someone who I have the upmost respect and confidence in to make whatever improvements he can make to a defense, it is Coach Morris.
I am sure the boys are in for a full week of practice, strategy, and hard work. (not necessarily in that order :o )

I believe that this will be a close game but Breathitt will come out on top.

Breathitt will take this game by 2 TD's. They are just to good would love to see Belfry and Breathitt have it out, but gotta cheer on the Blackcats the next few weeks.

I kind of figured it was a computer thing. I trust that more than the AP guys.

Russell will have a big offensive game, every team breathitt has played moved to ball on them, just lost the ball on turnovers, then went to play defense and wouldnt keep up, defense will determine this game

Its going to be cold and wet come friday if the weather man is right. So look for turnovers on both sides. Protect the ball and the "R".

still got to go with my devils all the way to the end they can and will pull this one out cause revenge is our's says the good man.

I honestly think Breathitt will win, but I hope you Red Devils prove me wrong. Regardless, I'm sure that game will be closer than Belfry vs Somerset. I don't see us having many problems against the Jumpers, D1 WR or not. There are 10 other guys on the team, and we're just so much better up front than they are.

Maybe Breathitt's defense forced the turnovers. That is part of defensive schemes. Breathitt plays such an aggressive defense and sometimes it can be too aggressive. It's that aggressiveness that forces turnovers. This game will be a great game because these two teams are evenly matched. Russell should be the favorite because it is at Russell and they are hard to beat at home. Both teams will come out ready to play.

Heard today that the ref crew will be a mix from 3 regions. I wonder how that is going to pan out???

I think this will be the best game in the mountains this week. Russell's chances of winning revolve around controling the football. If they can execute long drives that eat up the clock and keep Holcomb's offense off the field then they will have a chance to win late in the game. If the game gets into a scoring match then Breathitt will travel to Pond Creek next week. (No disrespect intended for Somerset.) I can't wait to see this game Friday. I'm going to take the devils by 7.

Should be an action packed hard hitting game. I just don't see Russell matching up real well with Braethitt's potent offensive attack. Those boys from Breathitt will straight light you up!

I don't think this is going to be a walk in the park as some Breathitt fans think. These young men from Russell Know what it is like to loose a game with no time on the clock. . They don't like it. They don't like to loose period. I think Breathitt will see each and every player on the Russell team leave it all on the field each and every play. I would be disapointed if Breathitt did not do the same. Thats whats going to make it such a great game.
