Jesus or Santa?
#1
I found the following on another site and thought I would share....

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh.
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year.
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies.
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited.
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.

You have to wait in line to see Santa.
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap.
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"
JESUS knew your name before you did.

Not only does He know your name,
He knows your address too.
He knows your history and future and
He even knows how many hairs are on your head.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly.
JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO.
JESUS offers Health, Help and Hope.

Santa says "You better not cry."
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."

Santa's little helpers make toys.
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but.
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree.
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree.

Yes, from sin He sets us free!

Christians would understand this, if you're not a Christian why did you open this, and if you are a Christian, why would you say something like this?

You guys need to relax...Santa is a fictional character. Why would anyone pick a fictional character over Jesus? BTW, I am a Christian.

That's what I'd say after the comment you made earlier.

If you don't like it then don't read and post about it...
Not every post on this board will appease all readers....

What is your prob? I never said I didn't like it. Just seems a little radical to me that you guys would even compare jesus and Santa..but I let my little cousin read it and he enjoyed it.

HEY.... I just thought (when reading another thread on here) that it would be interesting for some of the readers. The commercialization of Christmas has gotten to many. Santa is fictional...and to be honest.... I really think the passage touches on A LOT of good facts!!! I didn't mean to be a "smart" butt but your post acted like you didn't understand a word in it....

AND as far as comparing Jesus to Santa.... IMO... there is NO comparsion what so ever!! Search the web.... I'm sure you will find this same passage if you look hard enough!!

It's great because in today's society, I'm sure you've heard the name Santa at least 5 to 10 times more than you've heard Jesus outside of church. It's become too much about presents and materialistic possessions. Parents and families need to take a step back from their shopping trips and make sure they educate their children on the reason for the season.
