Can You Help Me Sleep?
#1
Does anybody have any tips to help me go to sleep faster? Lately I haven't been able to fall asleep until 6 or 7 in the morning!!! And I have to be at work at 8 AM. I know this isn't healthy. And classes start back in a week or two....

I go to bed, but I end up just laying there for hours cause I can't fall asleep anymore... please help

its 2:43am right now

I had that problem a while back...just take a few Aleve PM (not tylenol PM or Advil PM because the Acteminophen will tear your stomach up) for a few nights in a row to help you get in the groove.

I usually just get really warm and wrap a lot of covers around me. Then I curl up in a ball and close my eyes. That helps me out.

I either turn on Sportscenter or Fresh Prince on tv since it's all reruns and turn down the volume down really low.

I have also had that problem here recently, but I sleep for about an hour and then wake up around the middle of the night and cant go back to sleep. Also I do like the last 2 solutions.

I always sleep with sportscenter on, when you can't sleep get up and get on the computer, watch tv, or read...anything to make you sleepy.

If you're staying up until 6 or 7 AM, I recommend purposely staying awake until 10 PM the following night. You should be good and tired by then and able to get all the sleep you want.

A medicine called AMBIEN. It is a 'scrip med, but it really works... take it, then go on to bed... don't mess around and wait because this stuff can make you loopy if you don't go on to sleep... but, man, will you ever sleep long and sound...

I've had that problem in the past. It is hard to get back on track when you get your schedule out of sync. First I would try reading something that isn't too exciting and you should start getting tired. It usually works. If not, try staying up until you are worn out and ready to go to bed at what would be your desired time. Short of these suggestions some sort of sleep medication (would recommend Rx from your doctor though) should do the trick.

When I have trouble sleepin I usually just take a few shots of the "kickin chicken"
#12
Believe it or not, I listen to my iPod every night while I'm trying to go to sleep. It works for me.

Gah that stuff can be addicting dude...I got addicted to Tyelnol PM while in service. Never could get any sleep until I started taking that...I could still get up in a few seconds if I had to but It helped me fall asleep. Tore my stomach all to **** though.

Actually, the best thing to help you sleep, without needing like 40 hours of sleep before fully waking up, is taking a Melatonin vitamin about an hour before you sleep. Also get some Magnesium vitamins to go with them. I take them every night, and I get sleepy, but dont feel lethargic when I wake up. I wake up easy. It is a vitamin that your brain naturally puts out when you're asleep, some people just need more of it. I HIGHLY recommend it. Everyone I've told about it has loved it. You can get them at Walmart in the vitamins.
Do it and let me know how it helps!

Thanks so much! If they're not too expensive I'll buy'em

How about tuning in to CNN/Fox News. The amount of coverage that Brittney Spears is receiving will put anyone to sleep... Or drive them to knock themselves out with one of those rubber mallets that Wyle E. Coyote used to use.
