Who Will Be The New Coach At Jenkins ,now That Coach Johnson Has Resined.

The New Football Coach That Is.

The only name I have heard is Larry Maggard. Don't know why he would want to leave LCC though. ITr would be a risky job, not knowing whether they have enough for a team.

Wasn't he at Morgan for a while? His wife teaches at Jenkins Elem.

He was at Morgan and I have no idea who will prevail as coach of the CAVS..

If Randy Johnson is eligible to be a head coach, then IMO, thats who's gonna take over..

So is all theses Johnsons kin, I know its seems there is a Johnson coaching every sport at Jenkins lol.

I can't see Larry taking the job, it would be ludicrous. Secondly, I really find it hard to believe that they will field a team. They may have 15 players out, but out of those 15 their maybe 3-4 that could play anywhere else and that is a stretch! I could understand if this was just a combination of a couple of weak classes, but their isn't any numbers or standout athletes from 5th grade to 10th grade even by Jenkins standards. Not trying to diss JHS at all, they have had a great run the last couple of years and did well, but anyone around the program knows that it is going to be nearly impossible. IMO would be better to be honest with the two or three who could contribute somewhere else and to tell them they would be better off transfering. Randy Johnson.....That would be a great move!

If Jenkins cannot field a team, they are eligible to play at a school close by, I do know that
. And no, none of the Johnson's are kin, (Mark, Randy, Brian) oddly enough, lol.

I don't know if that is accurate Playboy5. They could if they were in the same district, but I am not sure if that is possible if they don't belong to the same school district. I know they can if they are in the same district.

i cant think of anyone better than "Sam The Pepsi Man" himself lol

What about Jim Tom Allen? He was recently let go at Paintsville, but the expectations there are much higher than Jenkins. I think he would be a good hire.

I had been hearing rumors of Jenkins maybe not having enough to field a team next year. It would be a shame to lose a program after two of the best seasons its ever had.

Well not ever had, but the best in over 10 years..

Anyone heard anything yet? I saw they posted the job on KHSAA. They are requiring someone with a teaching certificate this time. Good move. I am not sure if any of the coaches from the past were ever even in the building. having a coach at the school should help get numbers up. JMO.

Students cannot participate at another school if their school doesn't offer football. That is ridiculous and isn't true! Per KHSAA Bylaw, "a student must be enrolled in the school he or she participates in athletics."

Sams got my vote.

Bobby Branham

I think that the majority of the East Ridge community would support this candidate for the Jenkins job.

Paintsville kids use to participate on Johnson Central's swim team years ago cause Paintsville didn't have one.

No, not Bobby Branham.

I don't think Coach B will go anywhere. He has the kids lifting now, which they have never done. I don't think he would want to start all over again and take over a team the day before practice. if it WERE true, he would probably do a good job with getting more players out. People (football widow) are always putting him down, but he does seem to have a great rapport with student athletes.

The majority of Jenkins would too. I'd love to have Coach Branham at Jenkins.

The only position that Matt and i are looking into is as assistant coaches at Pikeville. I am on here reading enough to where all you have to do is PM me if you want the truth. Your resources obviously aren't very credible and neither are you. Please keep my name out of your mouth unless you talk to me first and find out if it is true or complete lies like you are spreading right now. If you have any problems with this please feel free to PM me.

I really hope this is just misinformation. I could not imagine Gravy being anywhere else other than Pikeville. Same goes for Matt. I would say that this allegation is strctly lie considering what the above source has said.
Sounds like Bond has a few too many shaken and not stirred martinis.
