Who has best shot of repeating?
#1
I know the start of the season is a long way away, but I was just wondering who you all thought had the best chance of repeating state titles?
#2
Belfry or Russell have shot at getting there!!!!
Romans 14:11
It is written: " 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' "

beechwood and lex cath

Highlands.

The competition in AAAAA is not much once you get outside of Ft. Thomas & Cov. Cath.

If the Bluebirds can beat Cov. Cath. then they will once again win it all. There are several good teams in AAAAA, but none at the level that Highlands and Cov. Cath. are at every year. Those 2 will dominate the class for as long as they want.

hazard will be there and belfry

Trinity and St. X will of course once again represent 6A. For 5A it probally will be Highlands and either CovCath or Ft. Thomas. In 4A Lex Cath will probally be the team to beat. 3A Either Belfry, Russell, maybe Bretheaitt Co..? In 2A imma going to say NCC gets that one and in 1A Beechwood win that one. But these are all guesses, anything can happen from now to the end of next season.

Kind of hard to argue with Highlands; they have a shot every, single year.

The question is REPEATING. I'm pretty sure you have to win to reapeat. Neither of those 2 did so I don't think they will be repeating.

Beechwool has a very good chance in 1A. Louisville Central has a shot at repeating in 3A. Highlands in 5A and Trinity in 6A. All these 2007 state champs I feel have a real shot at the repeat. Not sure about 2A and 4A. Mostly because I'm just not as familiar with those teams.

for your opinion is says repeating. it does not once say state title until the first post. so the topic thread should of been who has a shot the best shot at a state title repeat instead of who has best shot of repeating?

Heck, maybe they meant reapeating in the region, or even the district.Rolleyes

if i had to say the teams with the most likely to repeat will be beechwood.
#13
Beechwood
#14
One can never count out Beechwood in class A in any year.
#15
Trinity...Central...Highlands.
#16
hazard wont be a repeat or w/e but they'll make this time around
#17
Correct me if im wrong but doesnt beechwood lose a lot of seniors...idk honestly but something was just telling me that they did. Even so, I still see them coming out of that side of the bracket in 1a just bcuz theyre Beechwood and there isnt a lot of competition on that side of the bracket. But, as far as this side goes it will most likely be us if we play to our ability. Other than that, Belfry, Trinity, and St. X are usually good picks...lol

Belfry as long as Haywood is there!

All classes have a very good chance of having repeat winners with the exception of 2A. I just don't think Fort Campbell can do it next year.

I agree 100%!

I also don't think there is a team out there that can hang with LexCath or Highlands in their respective classes come play-off time. With 1 exception - CovCath.

Trinity vs St X game is nearly a given in the 6A class and a toss up between them.

3A & 2A are the most competetive.

1A is a mystery in the east but bet on Beechwood to be there from the west.

I'm hearing from the CovCath camp that they think they will have the team to beat Highlands this year and win 5A. They played a lot of juniors last year, so they will definitely have the experience factor over Highlands.

Are there any legit challengers of LexCath in 4A this year?
#23
Beechwood, good chance. Russell and Belfry is a toss up.

What about Hazard?

The thing about Hazard is they have to go through Lexington Christian, which after last year will be getting even better players than before.
