Jenkins did what Clay Co. and Anderson Co. should have done, and showed a lot of class. Every hitter in the 5th inning squared to bunt and intentionally stepped on home plate and made contact so that they would get out. It was also getting dark and the game would have surely been called if they didn't hurry and get out.

That shows alot of class for them to do that.

that was real classy for them to do that and not run the score up anymore...congrats Jenkins and g/l the rest of the season....raiders just keep your heads up and hopefully your coach will care...

Coach Anderson at Jenkins is a class act, and one of the smartest baseball minds in EKY. Congrats..

Agreed, and he's worked wonders at Jenkins. Jenkins has quietly put together a solid baseball team the past couple of seasons since he's been there. Great job Cavs, and keep it goin!

I applaud the fact that Jenkins didn't want to run up the score, but to intentionally get an out on yourself, is doing the same thing as running up the score. Classless. I'm sure that they could bunt the ball and NOT step on home plate. That is just uncalled for. Show the other team some respect. By intentionally getting yourself out, is just showing the other team that they can't. Come on show some class next time.

I agree, it basically says "Well they can not get us out so we have to do it ourselves!"

The only time you would intentially get yourself out is if you were in a game like Anderson County a couple weeks ago. 14 runs, you should still put the ball and play, maybe not move up on past balls or steal, but you can still play the game. I mean come on that is what I use to do with my little sister when I wanted her to win. That's just crazy to try and get yourself out.

It might be crazy if South Floyd had lights, but they didn't and it was getting dark fast. The game was finished without having to continue it later.
