Strongest Region
#1
What region will be the toughest to win?
#2
I think the 15th has one of the best teams, but Paintsville could very well win it as well. I think the 16th is the hardest in the fact they have Tyler Heinerman who is the best pitcher around this year, and the Dakota kid who is a close second. Those two should lead Greenup county to another 16th region championship. The 13th is the most wide open this year and it will be the easiest in the fact that anybody has a chance come post season.

The 13th is by far the hardest to win.... The 16th is open due to the fact that Tyler Hieneman has been brutal thus far this season. Greenup schedule is really hard, so hopefully they wont tire out.

What do you mean he's been brutal? If you are meaning that he has been very good, then that would imply that the 16th would be the hardest to win with him pitching as good as he has. The 13th is by far the easiest to win. There is no clear cut favorite in that region, and there are 5 to 6 teams who could very easily win that region come tournament time. I don't understand your reasoning behind that. If you could explain?

i thinks the 16th and the 15th will be the closest to beat out

If your talking about the toughest across the state, the 11th and the 7th are by far the toughest.

Yea your right that's pretty much a given. It seems year after year the best teams in the state are out of the 11th region. I was under the impression they were talking about the mountain and east kentucky regions instead of state wide.

The 13th will definatly be the hardest to win. any of the 8 teams that make the regional tournament will have as good of a shot as anyone else to win it. Each district will have good teams that wont make the region. There are only a few teams that you can count out.

But what I think JackRabbitSlim is meaning is that the 13th is not as hard to win for about 8 teams, whereas, in the 15th, it will take the game of a team's life to beat either Paintsville or Lawrence County in the region, thus his logic in it being harder to win.

However, if you look at it from another viewpoint, it is not as difficult for a Paintsville or a Lawrence County to win the 15th as it would be for any of 8 teams in the 13th Region to win that region. I would say that 7 out of the 8 teams in the 13th will have a chance at winning that region, which makes it even more difficult for each team involved. You will play a high quality team in each round, whereas LC or Paintsville will really only have to bring their A game for possibly only 1 game to win the 15th.

The 14th will be very tough to win as well as you have about 5-7 teams that could win it and a couple more who could pull some huge upsets. PCC, Powell, Estill, LCC, Hazard could all win this region while JBS, Leslie, Breathitt, and Jenkins could pull major upsets with their aces on the hill.

I worded that wrong, i meant that the team to emerge from this is going to be strong.... This is the Lex Cath and Dunbar region right?

Ok thanks, I do not know the regions as well as I should

I would have to say state wide that the 11th is undoubtedly the best. As far as the mountains go I would have to say the 15th is the hardest to win if you're not LC.
