BL played in no district for a while and just got back into district play last year. BL is actually the largest class A school that plays football in KY. They are in district 8 class A with Pikeville, Paintsville, Allen Central, South Floyd, and Phelps. They finished an abysmal 1-9 last year with their only win coming in a 2 point victory over Phelps. They did not make the playoffs last year.

They should beat Burch real bad. The Bulldogs are in my home county of Mingo WV. They have never been very good. I think they have the WV record for losses over the last 5 yrs or so. That is the team that Paul McCoy from Matewan rushed for like 680 yds on. He supposedly broke a WV rushing record. Details were very sketchy though.

I heard that BL lost a potetialy good linemen because he transfered to Pikeville...the kid is around 6'3, 6'4

Betsy Layne didnt lose anyone, I am 100% sure, on the other hand their is an 8th grader that is going to go to Pikeville. I seen him play, good luck with that(hahaha)

Here is a little heads up about the team.

They will have
Branston Jarrell quarterbacking (quarterbacked jv games, back up to case)
Kory Jarrell benches 350 LB and OL
Zach Hall benches 345 LB and OL
Cody McKay, Dyaln Maldonado, Jordan Hall, in the back field.
Not to mention they got Casey Adkins back.

Brady Hall
Chad Risner
Aaron Newsome (6'2) 350
Brandon Wilson (6'2) 225 (Tim and Ted Honaker's cousin)

one more thing, capt. DH I like how you mentioned that Betsy Layne was the last school to be ruled class A. So I figured lets look at something.
Betsy Layne 238 below them by one student is trimble county, below them by 7 students is lexington christian. So lets look at everything not just one thing. If the bobcats was in 2A they would be in Prestonsburg district, which would mean win one game and they make school history would be nice to play morgan county for that 4th spot.

First off I never said that BL was the last school to be ruled class A. I said that they were the largest class A that plays football in KY. What point are you trying to get across with the Trimble Co. and LCA reference? Every team has the opportunity to play up if they want to and if it makes geographical sense. No team can play down from their allotted spot from the final number used for realignment. You could play up if you wanted to but I don't think BL could get past Morgan Co. I am not a hater by any means, I just spread the truth with the hope that everyone will join me in reality and see the truth. It is not hate, just fact.

All I got to say is they are players up on the hill that are working hard, and hopefully after this season everyone will see the program is looking up.

Didnt lose anyone? You mean no players on the team were Seniors? You might want to rethink or recheck your team. Case? Is he a Senior this year? If so...then they lost someone. I am 99.9% sure he is a Senior.

To be honest 9 of the 10 games on their schedule are winnable. I think everyone on here knows the one team on their schedule they cant beat. Now before everyone goes off the flippin wall and saying that I said Betsy Layne will win 9 games dont! I said the 9 of the 10 games are "winnable" not that they will win them all.
