Do you visit them? If so, which locations?
What do you go seeking? What have been some of your greatest finds?
I will post mine later.

There is a really cool place in Lexington called JONK. I've gotten some good retro shoes there as well as some old signs that used to hang in bars.
My friend got an old neon Miller High Life sign from there too.
Other than that, I occasionally go to Goodwill but I usually never find anything good.

I usually go in search of old t-shirts and books. I have found some awesome ones of both. I love t-shirts that are really old and soft and have a cool print like an old little league shirt, concert tee, and I really love the old Hanes 50/50 white cotton shirts. They are sooooo soft.
I've found some really great, popular books for like .50 cents. I found a book one time that I had previously ordered online but my order got messed up so it wasn't sent and my money was refunded for a dollar in a thrift store. Pretty cool considering I was going to pay like 10 for it. That happens quite often. I get really disappointed if I am in search of a few good books and can't really find any.
Found some Journey 45s at a thrift store.
Pike Co. has a few that I swing by from time to time. The H.O.P.E. Charity Thrift at Chloe usually has a lot of books. The Opportunity Store in Hazard had some great t-shirts but they were usually in sizes 10-12 and 14-16 so you'd have to be small. Umm, the one with the best prices and best t-shirts closed. An "antique store" with a GREAT selection of books closed as well. Still breaks my heart. And The Helping Hands store on Town Mountain Road usually has some decent stuff.
I got a wine class from a vineyard in Napa Valley for a dime. An old duffle bag with a school's logo on it for a dime. Those things that you can crack an egg in and microwave it in order to get a boiled egg in for a dime once. My grandmother had bought one years ago and paid over 20 bucks for it. Oh, got a Diaper Genie that looked brand new for a friend for a dime also.
I will look around and think about it some more and come up with some better stuff.

One of my roommates picked up a good PS2 game at a tiny pawnshop for 2 bucks.
I picked up a copy of the ORIGINAL Oregon Trail, if anyone is old enough to remember that game.
I'm just going to add, I think that the actual GOODWILL company goodwill stores are the most expensive thrift stores to buy stuff from. The Oppurtunity Store in Hazard that I mentioned is also quite expensive sometimes. I know that $1.50 isn't a lot for a t-shirt but my favorite thrift store (it relocated and opened back up to be worse) had a 10x better selection for 50 cents a shirt...

I hit up the Goodwill on New Circle and Broadway all the time when I need some new T-Shirts. They always have a great selection of some pretty high quality and funny shirts.
The Salvation Army on New Circle sometimes has some good shirts.

A lot of times you can find name brand clothes that are in extremely good condition. I know it's not an everytime thing but if you can get a Lacoste polo for a dollar why pay like 50-80 for one?
