Is ACORN trying to steal election for Obama?
10-10-2008, 12:31 PM
Of course, Obama and ACRON have a close connection. He was a lawyer for ACORN when they sued Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac so that they would be required to give out loans to people who couldn't afford them.

There is a lot of fishy things about Obama. I don't trust him. He has no record and no experience. He has literally come out of nowhere, and has many links to very suspicious people. I hope our country doesn't vote him in just because they don't want a republican. I'm a republican and if Hillary was running against McCain, I'd cast a vote for her. However, Obama is a fishy character and I don't trust him enough to give him my vote.

He didn't come out of nowhere. He has been around for a while and the first time I remember hearing about him was in 2004 when someone said, "This guy is going to be the next President of the United States."
If you want to say that we shouldn't vote for someone because they have no record and no experience - your claim, not mine - then you shouldn't vote for McCain/Palin either because Palin is the least experienced person in this campaign. SHE scares me. She is too far to the right and literally a heartbeat away from being President.
I think Obama, McCain, and Biden could all step in and start running this country, but I do not think that Palin is ready or fit for the job.

ACORN does illegal work and should be closed down.

I say lock up the Acorn CEO and throw away the key!

Obama gave Acorn $800,000 to sign up voters!

List the reasons as you deem necessary to sustain your worldview, but Obama is headed for the winner's circle unless some major gaffe or development occurs. Each side whines over the same issues. Does anyone remember Ms. Harris in Florida? legitimate voters disenfranchised in particular neighborhoods that leaned heavily democratic? ACORN is not the reason Obama leads in the polls.

Actually, Palin has more executive experience than Obama. Obama's only executive experience, by his own claim, is running his campaign. Palin has run a town and a state. And is pretty popular still among the majority in her state.
Now you tell me how running a campaign qualifies one to be president of the US. I could run a good campaign. That gives no experience of working with foreign policy, economy, health care, etc... All Obama has going for him is good oratory skills. And people right now just want to hear something good because the media has filled them with so much negative stuff about everything lately. If McCain could stand and speak like Obama, it wouldn't even be a race. But McCain lacks this skill and it is the reason he doesn't fare so well in the debates.
Obama is the most liberal Democrat the party could have nominated. As much as you think Palin is right wing, Obama is far more left wing. At least McCain is much more proven to be the leader. I'd even possibly consider a Joe Biden presidency, but Obama is not experienced with executive decisions at all.

What's wrong with registering new voters?
BTW Acorn has been around for over 20 years.

Nothing wrong with registering new voters,....but the Dallas Cowboys or registering the same name 10 times with different addresses in the same state, I mean, come on.
They have registered over one million people this during this campaign, so I wonder just how many are legit?

McCain was a big supported of Acorn until here recently when Obama enlisted their help in those battleground states.
But you can't blame Obama or Acorn for the actions of a few con artists.

The bigger question I have here is, and noone seems to be asking it, if they are registering for example the Dallas Cowboys in Nevada, who is going to be going to the polls and voting under those false registrations, that seems like the bigger crime in my book.

I find it intriguing that you all will just ignore voter fraud as long as it is benifiting you. I don't want to see any voter fraud from either side.
ACORN also helped a kid in Cleveland register 73 times

Voter fraud is voter fraud is voter fraud. Period. Apparently, who wins elections is important enough to cheat and steal. Neither side of the aisle's ground roots "hogs" can claim innocence to rooting around in the mud on this one.

Please prove. If so, I will be outraged and demand that Preisdent Bush be removed from office no later than Feb. 1st.

It could be proven, but those who are Republicans would say, "Don't bother me with the facts, I have my need to believes." Democrats would be no different. Human characteristics lie deeper than party affiliation.

If it has been proven then you should have no trouble providing legit links to this proof.

Proof?

I would not deny that proof exists that ACORN broke rules, probably the law. Are you suggesting, Beetle 01, that ballots were not invalidated? It was common knowledge at the time. Or, do you use the whole "proof, proof, proof" mantra as a way to belittle your opponent's position without having to argue it at all? Common tactic, and a little boring, actually.
10-21-2008, 09:04 AM
I'm sure ballots were invalidated, but none of us were there nor do we know why those ballots were invalidated.

Do you actually deny the voter fraud?
It's part of the historical record and if you don't believe it that's fine.
I would post a link but if it was from the State of Florida itself and was in opposition to your beliefs you would just dismiss it as propaganda like you do all information that opposes your views.
I hope you enjoy your isolation from the truth. One day you'll wake up and find out everything you thought was true is in fact a lie.
You'll be like those stupid old men that still think we could have won the Vietnam War.

If you think that all people who are for Obama are ignorant, or wanting a free handout (which I'm not sure you're serious here), I would say your ability to debate issues maturely is not likely.
