Prestonsburg @ ashland prediction
#1
Well I think Ashland will be lickin their chops on this one becuase of what happened last yr. And this yr I think they will be hungry with the O clickin now I have to take ashland by a blow out.
#2
I'm goin to go with Ashland in this one too. With the uninspired ball that it sounds like Pburg is playing, it could be a long season for them!
#3
If ashland comes off the stairs like they did against west then we could see the O firing up off the D as well as the kickin game was goin.
#4
Ashland
#5
i'll take Ashland by 3 touchdowns
#6
i think ashland will be fired up for this one...they will win big
#7
Since last yr when Ian holbrook was out due to a groin injury I believe. But he is healthy this yr as well as allot of experienced players on the D. And yes I think they will be fired up for this one. 2-0 at the house so far good luck cats.

I say Ashland 48- Pburg 7 MAYBE
I dont look for a win in this one at all. Prestonsburg has really urcked me this season, I am hoping these 4 loses will be warm up games for us LOL and we start to play come district time BUT who knows.
#9
I'm just not going to make a prediction, I can't go against my Blackcats, but this one could get out of hand. I still think P-burg could make a game out of it though.

Black cat I admire ur passion and love for ur team. I give u props on that but I am lookin for a friday nite show down. thumpsup.g

Thankyou, I will always be a Blackcat fan, no matter how they are playing.
#12
Thats what every fan should be and that is what u call a die hard supporter. But for I tomcat nation baby.
#13
I'm going with Ashland........but I will be cheering for the Cats
#14
Ashland 42 Pburg 20
#15
Ashland by as much as they want. P-burg can't even compete with 1-A teams in their area. There's no way in hell they're going to put up a fight with Ashland. They will lay down and die by the end of the 2nd quarter.

I would not say that I mean, it takes a lil spark to happen and then a whole team can get momentum for example I saw a deadly hit on ko against west from 81 and after that the tomcats have played with a new flame with the O and D clickin. I see prestonsburg putting up a fight but I see ashland commin out to play.
#17
I like blackcat's outlook on this game. I love Pburg too much to predict against them. But I sure am glad we beat them last year, because it looks like we r gonna stay 1-30 or so vs ashland paul blazer. lol
#18
I'm with blackcat on this one, I love my Blackcats, but I can't say I'm looking forward to the game on Friday.
#19
I love the blackcats and am a big supporter, BUT Ashland wins in a blow out.

You say 1-A as if they were weak teams. I'd bet that Pikeville would give Ashland a good game.
#21
Well ashland has a couple of soccer players kickin som pats and Ko's and I may add they can boot it. bUT friday can not get here any quicker. Sad
#22
Ashland 44
Prestonsburg 14

Keep your heads up Blackcats...the season can still be saved. Pburg will be 0-4 but they are all non-district games so they will be 0-0 when district starts and that is what really matters. Prestonsburg is a lot more talented than they have shown so far, I really believe that, and I still expect them to make a nice run come playoff time. I hope the Blackats win this game but the Tomcats are too strong and will be ready to get revenge for the loss that P-burg gave them last season. Keep your heads up Cats and keep thinking postive...Pburg is a great program and will get it turned around.

very true but lets not say that they will be 0-4 its the team that comes out with more intensity and I think ashland will be that team to stay close to their rivals boyd. But I love it how last yr I read it on a thread on another site where they are cryin about a snake in a grass trick from last yr. could anyone give me a heads up on this? Becuase I know now that you have to be present inside the numbers to be counted before the ball is snapped.

I have heard something about the "snake in the grass" play or whatever it is but I don't know what happened...I would be very intersted to hear the story behind this if someone knows...Good luck to both teams on Friday and I hope that both teams play a good injury free game.

Prestonsburg lined up in a no-huddle offense, as the team was coming up to the line, one of pburg's WR's ran like he was going to the sidelines but stopped at the numbers and caught a quick pass. The official on the sideline was notified that the play was coming and agreed that it was a legal play therefore didnt throw a flag for illegal participation, which would have been the penalty if they WR had lined up off the LOS and farther than 15 yards away from the closest lineman.
#26
I heard the snake in the grass was they had a huddle goin and as Ashland was getting the D ready they subed in and without the refs or ashland knowin they sneaked a WR to the flat and threw the winning TD. thats all I know

thank u but I do not see a snake in the grass this year becuase u have to be present in the numbers this yr so i see ashland being aware and lickin their chops for revenge. Becuase elm street is lookin for a nightmare. Big Grin
#28
My memory is a little shaky on this game, but i'm pretty sure the play came in the first half. The winning TD came from an Ashland fumble inside their own 50.
#29
oooooooooooh well i was listenin to it on the radio. But I think the D is much better then it was a YR ago and have some quick and crazy players I may add.
#30
If your defense improved as much as pburg unimproved then it will be ugly. I knew after playing against Ashlands freshman RB last year that they would be a force to be reckoned with in 3A this year. He is a fine young RB.
