Raceland 2009
#31
Bobby Mckee at WR, Lauren Huffman at WR(didnt get much pt but he showed great potential when he did), Kody Kelly at FB/HB he's incredibly strong and sees the field well.
#32
Ive been hearing alot of a kid from New York and also another foreign student from Costa Rica, I did some research on the kid from costa rica and he is a 2 star player imo pretty good.
#33
Is Raceland actually getting all these transfers? Or is all of this rumors besides the Barr kid? It's hard to imagine someone from NY and Costa Rica moving to Raceland. If they are legit and good, I certainly hope all of this is true. Maybe I can see them play in Bowling Green this year
#34
Other than the Costa Rica kid, i know for fact all is true...i hadn't heard teh costa rica kid yet.
#35
What position does the kid from New York play? I kind of wish we had this kind of luck with transfers when I was at RHS.
#36
I hope when they play Russell we have a great game.
#37
Yes its true Raceland lost a lot of depth this year by losing Logan,Carver,Denton, and several others. They still have a few good players like Loren Huffman, Jazz Seacrest, Akil Shastry, Travis Knight, and Mike "The Hitman" Hall. He's a bull on the field who plays in your face football.
#38
Mike Hall is a okay player at best.
#39
If Raceland wins this year will it mean as much as last year? Last year was a team of all Raceland boys. This years team looks like a college recruiter went to work in the off season.
#40
racelands looking good....whats this I hear about that kid from costa rica
#41
There is no transfer from NY and no transfer from Costa Rica. The only transfers that Raceland have are Barr and Rister.
#42
Who cares about if there no from there. There is some reason why these kids came there and im sure it because of a parent getting a job in the community. Raceland will be pretty good this year but not as good as last year but I believe will bring a big surprise to people around playoff time. If Meehan truely is coming back to hazard then that takes a big weapon away from LCA and will help Raceland out big time. But I am going by what the talk is on the Hazard thread.

Yes, this is my first post here and I really would love to see the truth about players on here! I am a mix of all schools, and a fan of all football players, The only true MAN sport, "football" as us old country boys call it!. Raceland will miss the Carver kid and all the other home grown kids a lot! A lot is said about about running backs and it's true the Carver kid and Denton kid are great backs, They will be the first ones to give the line credit! Carver's dad was on a state champ team and was a very good player also, he will be the first to tell you it starts with the O-line! The O line is going to be the back bone of the O this year and what I have seen in the wieght meet and the gel of the players, OH BABY does it look GOOD!!! We don't need anyone but ourselves, if you would like to be a part of something good and would like to see how traditions start, we will see you on the gridiron and welcome you to pain, we will see if you too are MAN enough to be a Raceland football player!!!!

Weird, You talk as though any kid who wants to can just up and come to Raceland with no restrictions. Oh wait, from the looks of the team, I guess your right.

In my opinion Raceland wont get by Ashland LCA Russell and maybe Boyd Co. They lose to much and you cant get over losing players like Carver and Logan and Denten. I watched them play Russell last year. Those Two backs are very hard runner. Russell will bury Raceland this year. Raceland will be around 6 and 4.

Coming from 1 Russell fan to another how can you get on here and say that when Russell is losing everyone as well??? This game will be a good game like previous years.
#47
Last year Raceland had a once in 20 year Raceland team. Now, They will be just a very year raceland team. Russell will be down this year but will still be a better team than raceland. giving that both teams lost alot. Russell will reload. Just wait and see. Raceland goes down hill the next few years.
#48
Well even if Raceland is a every year Raceland team that still means they will have a good year, if you havent noticed Raceland has just as much tradtion as anyone around. Both teams will have a great season.

Raceland very seldom has huge drop offs. An "every year" Raceland team typically wins 6-8 games a season. I do not know where you are getting that they will be going down hill the next few seasons. Sure, they may have few bumps in the road as does everyone else. They are seldom down for more than a year

Get one thing taken care of now! NO, you can't just come and play at Raceland and if you do move and clear through the state in the right way, you better be ready to MAN UP, only the best will wear orange on friday night! my last replay said nothing about just coming and hanging your hat up and staying if you like it. I say for Russell and raceland and all other schools to be true to your boys and thats what will pay-off. Look around at other programs........one year wonders that had no school pride or tradition, no one will say remember when about them guys!

The kids you are getting from other schools obviously have no school pride. They have attended other schools, battled with thier friends and then bailed as soon as a better oppurtunity called. You better hope these kids dont decide some other school is better, because I can promise you, if they have no loyalty to a school they attended for 9 or 10 years, they will for sure have none for a school they just started at.

I don't think it is the kids as much as it is the parents who are trying to live vicariously through their children. Many parents believe their kid is the super star and when they are playing as much as they think their kid should play, they just pull them out and send them to the neighboring school to be the star.

People im not a Raceland fan but I wouldnt start saying things about all off these transfers. Unless you know facts I wouldnt say nothing.
#56
I know the facts.
#57
I agree Raceland has a solid football program, but so many kids transfer to that school that help them out. I guess the rich get richer to an extent. More power to them I suppose but I don't think Raceland will ever win a state championship. I also think Raceland competes in a very tough district (LCA, Fairview, Nicholas, Paris) and all those teams can play and beat you on any given Friday night.

i tell you wat i cant stand raceland fans one time at a raceland game i was walking to the consession stand and some big jerk cut me off he was a tall guy with grey hair and a grey handle bar mustache i think he might even used to operate the fog machine at raceland football games he still might even do it, but anyway he cuts me off i say excuse me and you know wat he does he flips me off. it wouldnt been so bad but i had my 5 year old son with me and he started crying when the guy started yelling then he called my son a sissy i was pretty upset but i didnt wont to kick that dudes butt in front of my son but next time i see him im going to punch him right in his big mustache.

What does this have to do with Raceland football? Every fanbase has their bad apples. I thought this was a thread about Raceland football for 2009 not rude people at a football game. BTW one person does not represent the entire base.

How do you know the facts? Are you a raceland schhol employee or one of the kids' parents?
