Best Young Pitchers
#1
Any thoughts?
#2
1. Hamilton out of Breathitt, for his first year of high school baseball he is throwing well.He has been clocked 2 times in the upper 70's
2. Creech out of Wolfe. He is a little wild but can throw the ball well, he is good behind the plate as well.

These are the two kids that i know that can pitch

There is no way the Boggs kid could be left off this list. I've watched him pitch for both Jackson City last year in the District win over Breathitt and for PCC this year and can't help but marvel over how much control and speed he has for his age. He appears to have picked up at least 10 miles an hour on his fast ball from last year. I have only saw him pitch three times this year...once against Breathitt, once against Hazard and then he closed against Lawrence. He will be TERRIFIC by the time he's a senior if he continues to stay healthy.

Hall from valley could be good if he works at it.

Hamilton from Breathitt is the real deal. Lefty, 8th grade, throwing about 3-4 pitches with good command. I heard he was hitting 74 at Hazard on their gun. Apparently he was throwing good, but not exceptionally hard for him that day.

Boggs is a solid pitcher as well.

Dustin VanHoose (Fr.) & Tim Sublett (Fr.) from Paintsville.
#22
Ive heard word on Dustin Vanhoose almost has a 12-6 curveball, just that his fastball is around 60-65 so if he gains around 10 mph he'll be hard to touch.

Ive also watched both Tyler williams from Belfry and reese ward from Pike Co. Central throw consistent in the high 70's as Freshman who are already deadly

I dont Moore is even anywhere close to sniffing those numbers.

While Shephard may have hit those numbers at one point in time. He only topped out at 85 in the first inning just one week ago.

How about Cody Parker from Johnson Central? I don't think he has lost a game. He has a Fastball from the mid 80's to high 80's and a change up and slider to go with it. He is starting to spot his pitches which makes him very dangerous in Eastern Kentucky.

Well first off smart ellick, spell his last name right then think that Chandler is 1 gifted pitcher. only 1 of fastballs. His curveball doesnt move all that much. So just because one player can pitch fast doesnt mean other ones cant bring in the K's. The faster it is, the farther it goes

And Mr. kimball also showed you up

Whoa now, nobody was trying to show any body up from here. Just an observation from a week ago, but I have no doubt that Shepherd is very capable of throwing in the upper 80's and hitting 90 when everything is clicking and the weather is warmer.
