This stuff is crazy, you guys talk like the kids outside Raceland has come in and made a bad team good, I on hand cannot think of any player that has made a lasting impression on me! There is not one transfer this year I would think of playing over any one. Name a great transfer, and then we will talk about how Raceland needed the help from outside. NOT TRUE! AT ALL!

Now your the new coach? Farley will be the QB and jett hasn't been on the field as of yet, I think I have figured you out! A kid that mommy says never does anything wrong and comes home crying when you don't get your way!
But moomy the teacher is just picking on me because she don't like me , it's not my fault she didn't cover the test and tricked us. I am better than the other kids but the coach just don't like me thats the reason I'm on the bench!
Victory is sweet, whinning is a choas of sick why not me emotions!:please: get over it!!

I'll bet take that bet all day long. You obviously havent seen Rister play.

The Raceland kids work hard for what they want and have gotten good results out of that hard work and to let someone blemish that by saying they are only good by transfers playing; they have no idea what they are talking about! P.S. I hope I don't have any typos here!Still no PM, I guess your not real confident in you statements.

All kids work hard in every program, I just hope Coach Copley gets the Greenup program rolling so all those kids quit going to Raceland. I think it's terrible that kids are allowed to do that if they simply just don't get along with the coach. That isn't teaching them anything at all. Raceland has a solid program and coaching staff but in the end transfers do help high school programs no doubt and Raceland benefits from some kids coming in simply because they either can't play at another school or they don't like what the opposing coach is telling them. Just my two cents on the issue, but I do agree Raceland is a winning program and has great tradition making it an easy place for kids to go and have a good career. Good luck to all area schools, but I don't see Raceland being as good as everybody thinks, I mean they lost so many good seniors leadership would have to be an issue.

I agree, Raceland's got Greenups two best players now.

Barr, Rister and Troxler will all have an impact and are all transfers.

Jett Troxler- moved to raceland because he know he has a way better chance to win a state championship and he wanted to compete not win just 3 or 4 games. believe me he will start, if its in the backfield who knows but he wants to play receiver.
Mason Rister- Not sure why he transfered but if I go by how hard he has worked weight lifting compared to farley then i'd give the QB spot to rister.
Farley is a basketball player he doesnt really care about football as much as basketball.
Jeremy Barr- Transfered because his dad is dating/married someone from the raceland area. emmiediate impact saw some highlights from CH and he is a beast IMO.

You have got to be kidding me, Raceland hasn't won a state championship they blew the region last year because they couldn't handle the pressure. What makes you think Troxler transferred to win more games, the reason kids transfer normally has something to do with their character and how they run away from problems. That's a real life lesson, let me tell you. I believe Raceland is good football program with good kids and good staff. However, every year kids go there magically so that isn't just luck. Please explain that

I watched this kid in varsity games. As a freshman and sophomore. I am not talking about mop up duty either. Mechanics and skills there is no one close this year in the area. He is as polished as any coming through this area in years. In the Raceland system, he has the "potential" to put up huge numbers with the skill guys they have now.

:blabbermo You can't be serious, WOW!! Everybody that plays Raceland watch out, put up the white flag and surrender.

I would have to disagree with Rister being the best QB in the Area. Sam Hunter is head and shoulders better. Hunter has already proven himself.
05-20-2009, 04:48 PM
Disagree and hold your sarcasm. I simply stated he has the potential. Yes I am serious. Don't attack the kid. It's my opinion. Simply PM me and count your money. How much you want to wager, on who has the best year in this area or part of the state? My friends it will not be close. Vanderhoof loves to throw when he can. Check out Grizzle and Pelfry stats. Hunter? Please. You can't be serious? He is an average QB at best. I have watched that kid for 3 years. He is excellent at doing what the coaches ask, hand off. The Rister kid was forced to sit behind Craft at GC, even when several assistant coaches wanted Sammons to pull the trigger mid way through the season. Don't hold it against him that his coach wouldn't pull the trigger for fear of politics at GC! Ask the Russell coaching about him being proven. A guy at work told me the kid as a freshman hang at least 400 yds passing between the freshman and Jv games on Russell alone. This is what I love about high school football. We shall see....

WOW!! That's all I can say is WOW! Good luck to the kid but you must think he is Peyton Manning! We shall see but politics are everywhere in sports, Raceland is not different than Russell, GC, or other schools.

It truley is recruiting.

Raceland has not always had Wurtland kids on their JFL teams. When I played JFL for Raceland, we had nothing but Raceland and Worthington kids. Besides, Wurtland is only 2 miles from Raceland if that far. So how is convience considered recruiting when the parents does not want to drive futher to have their children to play football? Does any of the town's in the Greenup Co. school district have JFL teams? I know the reason that so many Wurtland kids do transfer to Raceland is because of convience. It is much cheaper to drive 2 miles than 10-15 miles to Lloyd. Many more kids transfer to Raceland and Russell that do not play sports because of academics and the smaller schools. Things are not all about recruiting for football as you are thinking. Besides I personally know Coach Vanderhoff and a couple of the assistants, they have far too much integrity to illegally recruit players to play football. As I stated in a post a couple of months ago, the kids are transferring because of the parents wanting their little boy be Johnny Super Star.

Ummm, Wurtland has JFL...... and they practice at Wurtland Middle most of the time. Why would it be more convenient to go to Raceland if they can play at their own school?? Doesnt make much sense to me unless someone is "recruiting"...... Say what you will, Vanderhoof may not do it, but his croonies on down the line do. JMO

And yes all kids in GC school districts have a chance to play JFL, and the beat Raceland in almost every grade.
