Lakers vs. Nuggets - Western Conference Finals
#1
Who wins this series and in how many games?
#2
Lakers will win if they come to play but the Nuggets have the ability to win it all with the way they are playing right now!
Lakers in 7
#3
i hope the Nuggets win
#4
nuggets in 6 just caz they match up good against them in every way plus they are playing better as a team.
#5
I'll take the Lakers in 6.

Should be a very interesting series.
#6
Nuggets in 6. I hope they sweep the Lakers, but I have to give them some games.
#7
Nuggets in 6
#8
nuggets in 5 or 6 not 7
#9
I'll take the Nuggets in 7.

They are playing the best team ball in the league right now.
#10
Nuggets in 5.
#11
Lakers take game 1, 105-103 in L.A.

Kobe finished with 39 points for the Lakers & Carmello Anthony finished with 40 points for Nuggets.

Lakers are still playing lazy on defense which is something that absolutely kills me. If L.A. can get it together on defense for a whole game then I don't think anyone could play with them.
#12
They are inconsistent and I think Denver will steal one game at the staple center.

you have it backwards lol. Bryant had 40 and Anthony had 39. Lakers really had no help from Gasol, Bynum or Lamar, they all got in serious foul trouble. Bryant wont be able to carry the Lakers every game. So if Lamar, Gasol and Bynum start hitting it up then the Lakers could sweep em or take it in game 5. Defense was bad for the Lakers last night, but I would for them to step it up and take the series in Game 5..

Go LA.

I think that Denver will come out and steal Game 2 if the Lakers play defense like they did last night. You know what you get with Anthony. I beleive that the Nuggets will get big games from Billups, Nene, and Chris Andersen on Thursday.

If the Lakers come out with the defensive intesity that they did in Game 7 of the Houston series, then L.A. wins by 10 or more.

Lakers in 5 or 6. No question. They have too many good players and a muc deeper bench then the Nuggets.
#17
I'll take the Lakers in 6 games to face the Cavaliers in the Finals.

The Lakers are 10x better than the Nuggets in the post. Thats where the Lakers need to attack constantly, because Gasol & Odom are good enough players to pass it back out before taking a well contested shot. That opens up Ariza, Bryant, Fisher, Farmar, etc. for the long range 3.

One thing I've noticed when the Nuggets win, their bench played an amazing game. Guys like JR Smith, Chris Anderson, etc. come in and made big plays down the stretch that kept the momentum on Denver's side throughout the latter part of the 2nd half's.

Nobody on the Lakers team can stop Carmello Anthony. He is just to strong for Ariza, Walton, and Bryant. As long as they can keep Billups, Smith, and their other shooters from having big games then the Lakers will be alright and should be able to move on to the NBA Finals.

that is exactly is how everything is going to pan out. dude i couldn't have put it into any better words. the thing with denver's back up players they will always play awesome D but they have a hard time scoring.
#20
They really blew it in that game.
#21
Lakers in 4, no more than 5.
#22

wow, i usually dont blame the refs after a loss but this game was awful. it was decent calling till the last play for the Lakers. When the inccident that lead to Jump ball between Gasol and Billups if I remember correctly. Trevor Azuikl (sp) came up with the ball after the tip and trips then Anthony pushes him down. I watched it over and over. Should had been a foul and went to OT if the free throws had been made.

Nuggets made a great come back down 13. Series tied at 1 a piece and now home court switched to Denver. Go LA-

I thought the Lakers were a little softer in the 2nd half than they were in the 1st half. Fisher and Bynum were hardly any help at all offensively and bench production could have been a little better. I thought Trevor Ariza had a nice game, as well as Kobe and Gasol. Everyone else had a less than stellar performance.

Very impressive 4th quarter by the Nuggets. Anthony and Billups dominated the whole game offensively and Linas Kleiza had a great shooting night off the bench for the Nuggets.

This game was Phil Jackson's mistake on the final play. Kobe Bryant, without a doubt should have gotten the ball at whatever cost (after all, he is the league's best closer). I never was too fond of Jackson. I always thought that his success was because of the all-time great's that he's coached. I never really favored his decision making and we all seen how that affected the outcome of last night's contest.

I disagree in a way. I do agree Kobe is the best closer in the league and should have taken the fnal shot. However, I am a huge fan of Jackson and his success is based more on then just having great players (although that certainly never hurts anythig). I also feel that having Fisher take the final shot was smart in away, he knew the defense would focus on Kobe and Fisher would have a better look at it. I remember Fisher hitting quite a few HUGE buzzer beaters in the Lakers three-peat some odd years ago.

Nuggets in whatever it takes to beat the Lakers.

Lakers take game 3 in Denver, 103-97.

Trevor Ariza come up with another big steal to get it done.

K. Bryant - 41 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals
