We have the second coming of Jimmy Carter

If knowledge of history matters (and it often appears not to), it would appear that the United States is the only country that has proven itself non-trustworthy with nuclear power.

If common sense matters (and it often appears not to), it would appear that if terrorist nations had nukes and the United States didn't, we would be toast.

How so?

Who gets to define "common sense"? The nation that used a nuclear bomb? Isn't it pretty convenient to think one has the privilege of arguing that whatever the United States does must be right? Because, after all, it is the United States?

I think you know "how so." All the usual arguments can be trotted out as to the whys and how so justifieds; however, the fact remains: the United States dropped two nuclear bombs on civilian populations, non-combatants.

You are absolutely right, it seem's common sense has been flushed right down the drain these days.

Which has ZILCH to do with letting IRAN have them. You are way off on a tangent as is so often the case. I do see you got your bold fixed though...so you got that going for you, which is nice.

Well h*** lets just get rid of all our nukes, open our borders, and see how long we last. I suppose you want us to just lay down and let terrorist take over our country????????

I did not suggest the United States can now get rid of nukes. I did not mention an all-comer immigration policy. I did not say anything about a tolerant attitude toward terrorists. Let's be clear: the United States of America is the only nation to have dropped, not one but two, nuclear bombs on a civilian population, non-combatants. And yet, we claim for ourselves a sort of morals- police- power authority.

SO WHAT, if we dropped 2 or 10, you and I are free to say and do what we want!!! What jetpilot was saying if these rogue country's like Iran are able to obtain nuclear weapons, and the U.S didn't have nukes ,they would use them on us! As far as being police, why not? we are the most powerful nation on earth!!!!!!!

The most powerful kid on the playground just punched out two kids. He says to another kid, "Don't ball your hand up and make a fist. You can't be trusted with a fist." Define rogue country. Be careful.

Explain to me why they surrendered after being bombed if we did not hit any of their military facilities, and just as an afterthought how many U.S. and Allied lives were save by dropping those bombs, not to mention the freedom and our way of life today.

Let see.
Irans president says they want to wipe Isreal off the face of the Earth, and were ok with them going nuclear. Wow, is all I got to say.

My point exactly.
Is everyone okay with this statement? I just don't understand it. President Obama has made some unbelievable and unthinkable statements in just his short time in office.
How about this one? ---- "We are not currently in a war with the Muslims, nor will we ever be." - Obama
I don't know about everyone else on here: but, I take that as if the Muslims are ready to siege attack on our Country, then this man will do little to nothing to defend us.
Some of this stuff is just unbelievable.

Yet! As soon as their intelligence allows them to understand that dropping a Nuke off of a Camels back will not create "Boom", and they figure out how to shoot the thing, then they will be dropping them all over the place. Better hope it's not on anyone that you love!

Excellent post. He is positioning us to suck down whatever the terrorists plan to send down the chute.
What I will ask us to be cautious of, and what we are confusing here is the term "Muslim". This is a terrorist sect, incorrectly interpreting and using their religion as their fuel to cause destruction.
06-03-2009, 12:53 AM
So, let's see, the country that dropped two nukes on non-combatant, civilian population centers lectures a "terrorist" state about nuclear power. Is that about it? And, jetpilot, for the life of me I can't figure out why the font type gets in your head.

If they send a nuclear bomb at Tel Aviv, five will come back toward Tehran. If your assumption is they don't know that, how is it you assume that?

I have no clue what you just said! My assumption is DO NOT allow them the capabilities of Nuclear Weaponry. their histroy has shown that they WILL USE it for HATE, NOT DEFENSE. If you, my intelligent friend, cannot see that then......

The bottom line about the Muslim religion is that a part of the Muslim religion is to hate anything different. Not only Jews but Christians as well.
They can't be trusted and Obama is basically saying they can be. Are you saying cavemaster, that you agree with this statement by Obama?

The Muslims can make a treaty with a jew or christian and it don't mean anything to them. We can't make treatys with them and expect them to keep it. In the Quran, it says they can make treatys with us and break them whenever the time is right and it not be a sin to them.
