Real Badman Wrote:Eric Ratliff fomer East Ridge Baksetball/Football will be joining the Hawk staff. from what I hear. One heck of a coach in Ratliff. East Ridges loss is definally Pike Centrals gain.

Eric has been wanting to come back to Pike Central for some time now...this would not surprise me one bit...great pick up for PC if this is true

Why not run the ball?:HitWall:
I agree he mad some bone head calls last year

C.Clair Wrote:I can see them winning 3 to 5 games, with couple of those games being very close games that can go either way.

could Belfry be one of those games, let's not forget that Chapman has beaten Belfry before

Let's be quite frank and upfront on the season for PCCHS football. Coach Chapman has his hand full for the up and coming season. These football players have been used to a laid back style of football and the lack of discipilne and dedication is the major stumbling block. I know that the Administration will give Coach his first year as a re-tooling year but he better produce before the super leaves office. And for what he is being paid, which is totally redicules, he better produce.
I have a feeling that his venture at PCCHS will only be for about three years and then its out looking for greener pastures.

There won't be any re-tooling. They have a lot coming back and some nice new faces to go with ones coming back. How do you know what he is being paid. Did he tell you?
Would love to schedule PCC one time.Wish we can have a two day event at LCC. 2 Games on Friday and 2 games on Saturday the first week of football season. Is that legal?

Like the Pike County Bowl?
Yes like the Pike Co Bowl. They need to have the Letcher Co Gridarama. Can they still have the Alumni Bowl, or would they have to drop that?

the skill players are pretty good and cory gannon is a tackling machine, and jordan taylor is one of the hardest hitters in 3A so we may do great things next year.

no jordan taylor is not the hardest hitter in 3A i play for pc i will kno
mountain hoops guru Wrote:Did they not hire Coach Hollan from Perry Central to be his assistant coach? If so, he will help a lot calling the offenses for him. He is a smart guy and is bringing his son with him too. Was a good hire for them.

Who will PCC scrimmage, and who do they open up with success in those two contests could be the deciding factor.
Good luck Hawks this season! Im sure Coach Champman will have his boys ready for the first game.
No one knows who they have in the scrimmage and for a season opener?
whats-it-2u Wrote:No one knows who they have in the scrimmage and for a season opener?

we scrimmage paintsville the 12th and our first game is henry county long drive its the 21st
never once said he was the hardest hitter, i said one of them.
scrimmage on the 12th, isn't that a wednesday?
The Spectator Wrote:Central will do good but i just can't see them beating pburg.

Pike Central smoked on overconfident P'burg team in 2000. The held them to -13 yrd and forced 8 t.o's. P-burg went on to win the regional championship by beating Breathitt Co. Who knows what will happen in week 10.
