There were about that many that made the trip to Hoptown a few years ago, but I agree. I can't see that many from Alcoa making the trip this year. But then again, maybe they will. Everybody loves a winner.
Plus from what I have seen, there will be enough Bell 'haters' from the area riding the F5's coat tails.
And that's.....OK.

BTW I wish the Daily Blues gave Bell Co. that much coverage. That paper is a joke.
I know that even some of the Maryville Rebel fans are coming to the game. With Maryville not playing the first week. I'll have two Rebels with me for the trip to log mtn.
The F5 draws a crowd every where they play!
Should be a big gate $$$$ for Bell County......IF the log mtn people show?:Sad04:

It will be a big crowd just b/c Bell is coming off a state championship and all the Bell haters as well as the boro playing.
I have seen Alcoa a few times in the past in person and never considered them to have a great following. It will help with Maryville not playing. It is really not a bad trip.

It all may come in handy so they can cover up all their bruises and scars after the game.

No need to watch 2 hype. It was from a team or two ago. This is 2009 teams. Neither team has won "diddly squat" yet.

Alcoa does that in pregame warmup.......so, I don't think it will help with Bell Counties bruises and scars?:eyeroll:

I think he meant the photoshop will help cover all bruises and scars for the breezes when they gently blow off of Log Mountain.

The calprep is a cool site. The 2009 data is based on 2008 numbers.
I see Alcoa being a much better team this year and Bell Co. not near as good as last year?

Won't be the first or last time Alcoa stayed on the field at half time.
I'm sure Alcoa will have the visitor locker rooms nice and toasty come next August :devilflam

Yeah that site is pretty accurate.
As for the game -- I don't expect Bell County to be able to throw the ball this season as well as they did last season with Zachery. Although the Bobcats lost some guys out of the backfield, they still return some very athletic quick backs, but they'll only go as far as the Bell County line will take them.
Bell County's defense will be their strength this season, much like last. I still think that Alcoa wins this won pulling away late. But I do think that Bell's defense will be able to hold their own until they give up a big play because that can really kill a teams composure, especially late in a game.

I think that Dudley is smarter than that. We are playing Green Co next year and Alcoa will be playing Middlesboro.

Thank you for an articulate football post. It is good to hear something beside "you don't know what you are talking about"
Alcoa will come out to stop the run and force Bell to throw it. Alcoa's run defense is as good as you will see at this level. [meaning very good high school football, not superteams, know the difference please.] As my comrade BC has said, Alcoa will not even show half the playbook on offense and still win this one pretty handily. After getting a 21 point lead, The F5 will put it in neutral and get the younger kids some playing time. My prediction as of this moment will be 42-14 and I think that will be pretty solid.
And yes we do know a little bit about photoshop as well.

Sonds like that you guys just don't need to worry about Bell County and focus all of your time on Maryville then. It looks like you all need to focus on them anyway since you can't beat them.
