Boyd Co. @ Fairview 9/11

Boyd County struggled with Pike Co. Cent, but probably should have beaten Raceland except for the last 5 min. when they imploded and played Belfry tough....I expected more of fairview this year, but they struggled with West Carter and lost to East Carter Friday night...2 struggling teams who might be fairly even should make for a good game in Westwood Friday night.....I don't know what Lions Teams is gonna show up and i'm sure the Eagles will be hungry for that 1st win ever against Boyd County....what do you all think?

Fairview in a close one. West Carter is a good football team and E Carter has improved each week.

Are you aware that Fairview has alot of injuries right now? Backup QB is playing, left guard was out against East Carter and best WR is out as well. I think Boyd County wins because Fairview is banged up right now. Good luck to both teams. I think when healthy Fairview is a good team, they almost pulled it out in Grayson with a beat up team from what I was told. Guess that goes to show what shape East Carter's program is in with a single A team beat up takes you down to the wire.

I'm gonna have to say Fairview in this one.
They're gonna be hungry for their first win over boyd!
QBs out but their back ups pretty good for a sophmore and left gaurd and d-tackle is back after a one game suspension, so you know he'll be hungry and "in shape".

Single A has nothing to do with it....if it did then Raceland would not have beaten Ashland three years in a row and russell last year....Russell would not compete with Ashland year in and out b/c they are 2 classes smaller....and greenup and boyd would be dominating programs if class division played any part of it....East Carter does good with they have, but they haven't been a dominating program ever..a few good years every so often...they are like most county schools in the area..fairview has more kids out on their roster than most of the county schools in the area...so they can go deeper where as boyd county doesn't even come close to matching the number of players......id say this game is like fairview's game with east and west carter...low scoring going down to the last minute..

wow...i really think both these teams will struggle this year....Boyd Co. looked impressive against Raceland until they gave the game away in the last five minutes, but to lose to PCC the way they did...i just dont know...Fairview struggled with both carter co. schools....makes me wanna go with the home team, but I have a feeling the Lions will edge this one out...BC 26 Fairview 19

I was told that fairview was planning on taking out the BC QB. Not sure if that meant controlling him or literally. I would hate to see that happen in a negative way. They seem like good sports.

Wow, are you serious? Of course it means try to control them. QB is a good player without controlling him you can't beat Boyd County. That is a dumb statement, you must not understand football. You always try to take away the opposing teams best player.

Doesnt matter, they wont touch him to take him out in my opinion.

Nope I'm not Fairviews coach and wouldn't want to be either! Just because you set a gameplan to stop a player doesn't mean you will acheive it. I think Fairview is just outmatched in every category except MAYBE speed. Boyd tends to come out hard in the begginning of the season, then slowly go down hill. Not the prgoram as a whole but just the past years. If this happens it could help fairview out. I could be wrong about my predictions, that's why it's a opinion and not a fact.

You sure love Fairview an awful lot as a Russell fan, with excuses and such. Wouldn't happen to be a Mcpeek would you?Lol

No sir, I'm a Russell supporter but I do root for Fairview because I do think they do a good job for what they have and the school system is unique. Good luck to all local teams may they all stay injury free.
