Both teams played well Belfry must not be used to getting beat . There was a official calling the game on short notice. He was certified . If it was bad it went both ways.

Getting beat is NOT the problem. My problem is that not ONE.... ONE of them had on the proper "attire" to call a football game. According to what I have read on KHSAA, they have to be dressed in the proper "uniform" per say. Officials have a responsibility as do fans, coaches, and players. It should have been taken care of BEFORE hand and the proper amount of officials been onhand becasuse as I said before, this was NOT a pee wee or little league game.
OH.... BTW, if anyone would have asked we had a couple of officials in the stand ourselves, we could have let them call the game with the other and made it look real good!!

Keep in mind also, you will have officials when you come to Belfry. Let's see what kind of game is played between the two then!

But you know what, I don't expect non-officials to get it all right. My son will be back in 2 weeks and will face Belfry in the county championship if both teams make it. Which I think they will. That's just football.
We are not talking about 5th and 6th grade here. High school is a totally different level of play. Granted, I'm not saying officials are perfect, they do make mistakes BUT, for a kid to jump offsides all night and it not be called 1 time... NONE, even Ray Charles could have seen it! I know the young men (mine included) are going to get hurt as well. If they get any playtime on the field, it's a chance you take everytime they step on the field... PERIOD... I hate your child got hurt and hope he recovers well and quickly but I'm talking about basically 15 and 16 year olds here NOT 9 or 10 year olds. The age and size make this totally different. I hope that (and I have contacted KHSAA) these coaches will make their "best" efforts to have officials on the field when game time comes. I'm just not talking SV either. I'm talking every school in the county and state! A little preventative maintence can go a long way... and OFFICIALS are just that!!!!
