i would pick jordan amis over anyone. after pcc played pburg last year, there coach told coach browne he would take jordan over any other qb in the mountains. he said he was one of the most gifted athletes he had ever seen.

I agree that Amis is an extremely gifted player. But remember, the quote you just mentioned was said that last season. Michael Burchett has really come into his own in the early season. If you seen Burchett last season and this season, you can tell that he really uses his legs this year unlike last year. Burchett is becoming a dual-threat QB, but has a more accurate arm than most. I doubt you have seen the top 5 quarterbacks I mentioned earlier in person. I've seen all except for Moses. Just look at Michael's stats, the competition Prestonsburg has played, and the undefeated record.

well you just said burchett is becoming a dual threat qb. amis has always been a dual threat qb. and amis has pcc at an undefeated record, he just lead pcc to a dominating win over breathitt as pburg got lucky late in the game and won. all teams have done so far this year is key on jordan but yet they still cant stop him. hes hard to stop because even he doesnt know what hes going to do half the time.

Lucky late in the 4th quarter? The Blackcats made a surmountable comeback based on the play of Burchett. Burchett has a much more accurate arm than Amis, you can ask anyone who have seen the two. I will give Amis credit where credit is due. That being said, Amis probably is the most mobile quarterback in the Mountains. Now having said all of that, in my humble opinion, Burchett's accuracy, decision making, and mobility makes him the best quarterback in the Mountains. Amis is the most mobile quarterback but could be better with his passing. Still yet, his decision making and toughness are two great qualities that he has to offer as well.

Both are great, but I'm picking Burchett as of now.

Burchett from the Burg looks awfully good to me, I'd have to give him the nod as top QB in the mountains......He could be the next Dan Lefevour who is my personal choice as the best college quarter back that nobody knows about....but thats another post for another forum on another day

Does anyone know what schools if any are looking at QB Ryan Moses from Williamsburg?
#42
he did play good to help lead them back, but they got a few breaks from breathitt as well. i heard channing fumbled the ball near the end of the game while they were trying to run the clock and it lead to a pburg winning scoring drive.

It's not easy to compare Burchett with Amis. Their games are VERY different. To me, Amis is more of a running threat whereas Burchett is more of a classic drop-back passer.

If a team is built to run primarily - Amis.

If a team is built to pass primarily - Burchett.

On a muddy field - Amis (in a big way).

Vs. a secondary in zone coverage - Burchett (by far).

Excellent point! Both are very exciting football players to say the least.

No, it was a fumbled snap on 4th down around midfield with 3 1/2 mins left. (I still don't understand Breathitt Co. not punting the ball there)

If you was a coach how would u like to have both of these players on ur team. I know i sure would.
#47
im not sure wat type of offense pburg runs, but pcc is always in shotgun. they run a spread offense. most of the times amis even runs the ball, it is supposed to be pass play. we both have our different opinions though on who we would like to have because one comes from your favorite school and the other comes from mine though. lol

Ben Madon of Bell County will be on the list before too long.

i like burchett and amis. two very talented athletes.
