What happened any details to the game? Thought that Greenup would pull this one out.

mistakes Greenup was in the game down 12-7 and fumbled at the 4 and it just went down hill from there.

Greenup played a good game but just couldn't stop Coal Grove. That being said, Waugh did a good job at QB, and Carter rushed for 273 yards and broke a school record and scored three touchdowns. Not really sure how many yards Lyle had. The Musketeers played hard and never let up. Now they can put this game behind them and look forward to Rowan County. Go Musketeers!

Even though Rashard Carter set a school record with 272 yds. rushing, still we had trouble in the red zone offense. The secondary gave up some easy pass plays for tds., the line played great tonight, opening up huge holes for Carter, Waugh played good in his first ever start at quarterback, but it came down to the little things again. Coal Grove knew they were in for a battle, not as easy as they had boasted, Coach said tonight, that 5 plays beat us and that we would work it out next week in practice. Great effort boy's now district play starts, let's get ready for araowan county next Friday.

About what I figured, QB needs just a little more practice, He'll get down hopefully before it's to late. They have to realize Carter is not the team alone. People will get on here and say but a has a school record now! That causes friction with homegrown kids no matter what anybody says.
#9
There is no question that Greenup has to get better defending the pass. The boys played hard and even though down, never gave up. This was a tough loss. Keep your heads up and work to get better.

The Carter kid looks like a petty solid player

Yes carter does have a school record now, but i don't think after watching last nights game that it's gonna matter much i believe he would rather have the win it's a team sport and the line done a great job, the whole team looked good at times but just gave up some big plays! Apparently some people don't realize carter went to greenup before he went to ashland so he already knows alot of these kids , so i don't understand what some people are trying to prove by always starting rumors? And trying to put a wedge in this team get over it! The boys are gonna do their best to win every game no matter how many local schools can't stand it. It's football, play or get out of the way! I think they are all ready to play!

one thing I know for sure about the ohio football is that they do the little things you are talking about they are always very solid and they don't beat them self's they usely are not very fancy either just all ways a good sound team

Carter is a home grown kid! GC beat Raceland get over it. With the tight-knit group of boys Copley has put together, it is going to take alot more than some Raceland fan trying to start something on a website. Seriously, just be happy for GC's program turning in the right direction and stay on the Ram threads.

Very proud of all the boys last night. I thought they played as a team. Congrats on the record Carter. And Waugh way to step up into a position unknown. Proud of the effort of all the boys, work on the little things, believe in your selfs and your team mates. We have a great chance at the districts so lets go get em.

Yes, Carter holds a school record now and good for him! He played a very good game last night but, the whole TEAM played a good game! He also attended Greenup and played JFL and also went to the High School before leaving and going to Ashland. Isn't it funny how sometimes you always end up back where you started? LOL By the way, it's so funny that Raceland is still on here belly-aching and trying to cause problems within another team. Don't they have their own team to worry about? I guess that they don't have anyone better to talk about. Jealousy or envy?

Where did a Raceland fan say anything bad about GC? You guys beat Raceland fair and square, congrats. This is a Ram fan that doesnt care about past games.Raceland just needs to get better each week.

Congrats to Rashard Carter for breaking a record!! Very proud of the Musketeers! Don't let this bring you down. Just need to work on those little mistakes and we should be ready to go for this week against Rowan County!! Smile

I don't think that the boys will be down or at least they shouldn't be they played a good game. Sure I wish it was a win for GC but that's okay. With a new QB and the boys having to take some new positions it was kinda a learning game for the boys. So now they will take that and get better. Fix the mistakes and continue to play like a team.
