Lexington Catholic @ Boyle County 10/10

As long as Catholic has a quarterback and someone who can catch the ball they have a good chance, and they do have both. To me the question is how many points is the Knights going to give up to the Boyle O?

This is always a great game. Both teams have had this one marked on their calendar for a long time. Boyle clearly is the better team this season and should win by a couple of TD's however they will have to avoid the turnovers that they seem to commit every game or Lex Cath may pull off the upset.

Boyle County 28 Lex Cath 14

Last Friday against Lafayette was his best game in a Rebel uniform. I seen on I believe channel 18 he was named "Player of the Week" or was that channel 27. Heck I'm not sure which one, but he was their player of the week. Boone is the key as to how far this team makes it.

Rebel55 Wrote:Lexington Catholic WEEK is always exciting. These two teams have had some barn burners in the past. The 4 games in 1999, and 2000 where the best games that I have ever whitness. Last season's 2 wins brought back good memories. The one thing you can count on between these 2 teams is: When these 2 play, this is best game in in the State that weekend. I see no difference this Friday. Go Rebels!

I agree with you Rebel55. When these 2 teams play it is always a jimdandy. There is know reason to not expect that this week. But I have hope our pass defense can stop Cath. passing attack like we did Lafayettes. Our pass defense as better so so this year and we all know about the Rebels run defense:devilflam. I believe the rebels win this one by 3 TDS.

Boyle showed last week that they and starting to pass the ball a little better. That will help in the run game (not that they need it) and show that they are more than just a running team. But last week was only one week, they have to keep it up each week. GO REBELS

If the Rebels can get up on Catholic early then I believe that will win by more than the 3TDS that I thought before. I don't think that Catholic will be able to comeback on the Rebs the way they have in @ of their games this year. Not taking anything away from LCA and (can not remember the other team.). I believe the 1 hour delay hurt them in that game. Boyle has to good of a defense to let that happen. I could be wrong and it will not be my last if it happens. Plus, Boyle has a good offense that can keep the ball away for Cath. offense.

I seen on the news that they are calling for rain Friday night. How does this affect the game? I know that it made a difference in the first half against Danville. A wet field will slow down the offense, and make the defense better. I have butteflies everytime Lex Cath. comes calling. They can not be counted out this Friday.

Boyle has a tarp to cover the field, lets hope they use it.if the field is muddy it will definately affect both teams.it could really hamper reese, and ragland both.they both rely on thier cutting ability and speed.

For me I'll just take a win, and do not care what the score is. 2-0 on a safety....I'll take it. Like Al Davis says "Just Win Baby" TongueirateSho

It will be a close and hard hitting game. i think boyle will come out with a win at the end.

Right now there is a steady rain coming down in Boyle County. If the field is wet and muddy tonight, I look for Lamar Dawson top have a huge game. Poor field conditions could hamper MacShara's running ability due to his penchant for cutting back and turning on a dime. He isn't real big. Dawson is big and can be a punishing runner.

The game has been cancled tonight, will be played tomarrow night at 7:00.
#54
The game has been canceled, because of the weather will be played saturday night 7:00.
#55
Just herd that this game has been moved to Saturday @ 7:00 pm.
#56
I have a feeling this wont be the only game to get cancelled tonight.
#57
Danville / Bardstown is another.

I haven't seen any lightening here in Boyle County. Do they cancel football now for rain?

Just heard the the sides of the playing field is soaked and there is about 6 inches of water on the side lines. The center of the field had be covered but was still really wet. So we will have to just get our feel of college football tomorrow and then the Rebs tomorrow night.
