He would like to see former dunk champion Vince Carter, Kobe Bryant and others take part along with James.
"As his manager, I will only allow 'Bron to do the dunk contest if Vince Carter comes back out," O'Neal said. "If Kobe comes back out and if another big name comes back out. If we could get a big prize and have half of the money go to the people of Haiti and the other half to the winner.
"The guys that are in it, no disrespect to them, but there won't really be any competition for LeBron. I want to see Kobe. I want to see Vince and I will allow my client to enter."
No disrespect for O'Neal, But Vince Carter Is by far the best dunker of all time. Hands down. No Matter any way you look at it. 4 years ago this would be a laugher.

HANDS DOWN.
These dunks are amazing. I have never seen anyone compare to this. Creativity is through the roof.

They should send 50% from the All-Star break games and challenges to Haiti.

The NBA needs to do something because with the fan base that the NBA has they could really raise a large amount of money to send to Haiti!

I like Shaq's idea.
LeBron would easily win it though.

Even with Vince 3 years Ago?
And i think if lebron could easily win it then lets see his creativity. Jumping high doesnt make u the winner. Even though the past few years its been a popularity contest.

How Would it be? I have not once seen lebron do a dunk that dazzles me. He jumps as high as he can then cocks his arm back to his toosh lol.

He can do any dunk that VC has ever done. IDK if he could come up with something new though.

With Vince in his prime there is no dunker in history who could beat him in a slam dunk competition.
This is good that Shaq wants to send money to Haiti but saying Lebron has no competition is crazy.

What are they trying to hide by not being in the contest? Why doesn't Lebrone want to be in it?

They are the greatest players in the world, they do not have anything to hide. It just means they get another day off which can be helpful when you play 83 games a year. That and the fact that nobody wants to risk the possibility of injury in the contest.

Hey genius, read Shaq's comments again. He said OUT OF THE GUYS COMPETING THIS YEAR (Gerald Wallace, Nate Robinson, Shannon Brown, Eric Gordon/Demar DeRozen) there is no competition for LeBron which is the truth. And to the people who say.. Oh well Vince 3 years ago would kill LeBron. It is THIS YEARS Vince, THIS YEARS Kobe, THIS YEARS LeBron. And I would like to see either D Wade or Dwight Howard or even maybe Amare Stoudemire join those 3 and it would be a GREAT dunk contest. If it was 4 of them, it would be completely open because all of them are very popular, and all of them can do some awesome dunks. I like the idea, because nobody wants to see a bunch of nobody players do weak dunks.

I agree that the players need rest, but NBA plays 82 games.
