why don't WWE just go to Monday Night Raw instead of having 3 Shows (NXT, Raw & Smackdown)???

i believe its dumb having 3 shows, and hiring all these wrestler's when you have a crap load of Performers in the locker room. i also don't like it where they run there mouth instead of having matches, they may have 4 or 5 matches that don't last very long then the rest of the time there running there mouth's.

Storylines. WWE needs people to watch week-to-week. If it was just wrestling the entire show, then anyone could watch whenever they feel like it and know what they're going to see.

With the storylines in place, it draws people in and keeps them watching. Makes you want to tune in next week to see what will happen.

I agree, that I also don't like them having 3 shows. Heck, since Smackdown moved to "whatever-the-crap TV" I can't even watch it anymore and I have DirecTV. Just don't get that channel.

NXT is a waste of a show IMO. WWE ran ECW into the ground and now they've got this NXT crap. I could care less if WWE stopped doing shows on Tuesdays all together.

Now, Smackdown is occasionally a pretty good show when I can catch the reruns. But, the fact that it is taped...and I can get the results usually 4 days prior to the show actually airing, I rarely care.

WWE has a lot of talent right now though. I mean, Edge, Undertaker, Batista, Jericho, Mysterio (just off the top of my head there) are all at Smackdown, but could you imagine if all the great superstars were on one show? There'd be no room for mid-carders and new talent.

For that reason, I can see why having two shows is almost a necessity, but NXT to me is so useless. Just keep the new guys in development until they're ready.

i believe if they keep this up, TNA will be running them outta Business.

ECW was a waste of time, i never watched it, and i barely ever watched smackdown i was always watching Raw and TNA.

NXT is for developing new talent. Since there has been no competition, it certainly appears that WWE is wasting time, but no way. They stil draw over 1.0 viewership, which is still tops for all cable television shows. They make a ton of money off of both NXT and Smackdown, thus is would be dumb to discontinue these shows. If TNA can make any headway in viewership, then the quality of all the shows will do well. But financially, WWE is making MONEY!

I really don't want to see them develop talent. That's just not interesting to me. Do that in developmental and it'd be fine by me.

IMO, WWE should take the Tuesday night show and make it into a storyline show. No wrestling, just storyline development. That would free up a lot of time during Raw and Smackdown for more wrestling - longer matches, more matches. Not saying they should get rid of all storyline segments during those shows, because they're necessary to hook in the viewers and keep them watching, but you could get so much further in depth with the storylines if something like this was done.

I'm not sure where you want the development to come from. There are no indiependents left. Rising stars are not coming up through Regional promotions any longer. The WWE has to develop talent. Whether they put it on television or not is a different subject. But, as I said, their formul is making money. Their lowest rated shows are doing way better then other networks best shows. If you are making money, then it is not broken. I totally disagree with reducing the number of hours of television. When wrestling was in it's heyday, we had more hours of wresling on television than we do today. There was the Saturday morning and night shows, the Sunday shows, the midnight shows. I'd argue to say that WWE programming is down considerably, yet wrestling is not drawing the same ratings as before. It's not because of the hours of television, it's the charecters that they are building. I understand your point about storylines, but two hour wrstling shows dedicated to wrestling went out the window when WCW Saturday Night went off the Air in 1990, that was a very long time ago. Since then, we have gotten into vinettes and in-ring wrestling has barely covered an hour of a 2 hour show. But, that is not new. Get better writers, make the charecters and storylines better, but you don't need to reduce the television time or talent development.

OVW and FCW both are still in existence right? Why not just keep them there?

Both of those organizations have local television programs that can be seen God-knows-when.

I wouldn't even mind seeing the Divas all go to Tuesday. Take that CRAP off of Raw and Smackdown and put it on Tuesdays. Let it be an entire night of the world's worst wrestling. I'm sorry, but I turn the channel when the women come on Raw. It's painful just to watch that stuff. Gail Kim used to be pretty good in TNA, but even she looks like she's gotten worse in WWE.

I understand that they're making money, but watching WWE is so instilled in some people that I think they could have monkeys wrestle and throw poop at each other for 2 hours and still get a 3 rating.

OVW is no longer affiliated with WWE (About three years now). FCW is only florida based, but is still a good place to send guys to get training and guys recuperating from injury.

I still have no issue with the number of hours, I would just rather see the attitude era return. Right now they are not being challenged, thus there is no reason to work hard. That's the biggest issue right now.

 Agreed. Business 101 says, If you have no competition then you name to prices. If TNA, ECW, WCW, NWA, etc... are not there to draw ratings and talent away then WWE can do whatever they want and make their own product.

I believe the thing that can save wrestling is if TNA can get big enough to challenge WWE and FORCE each other to bring their best product to the table. (Example, The Monday Night Wars)
