Agreed. Is this a blind draw, or is it set up so district winners won't play each other in the first round? If it is a blind draw, there's a coach or two sweating really hard about drawing Paintsville. As you noted about 2-3 weeks ago, one of the hottest teams heading into tourney play right now.

Paintsville is driving the ball and their catcher and 2nd baseman have markedly improved. Nothing automatic to 2nd against the tigers!

I believe that the Tigers did that job and quite well. A big suprise, but wow.

Directions to Stonecrest ball fields. You can take 302 around the lake and turn up the hill when you get to the swimming pool. Or if you leave Prestonsburg going towards Paintsville on old US-23 there follow the signs to the golf course and you cannot miss the field!

Honestly, and not just because I'm a PHS guy, I have to go with Pikeville. Pitching rotations are about equal, but PHS's defense is more consistent and I think they have a better hitting team 1 thru 9.
