Who wins in this matchup of two top 5 teams in 2A? Glasgow is 5-0, Somerset is looking to rebound from a tough loss at Breathitt Co.

I think the Jumpers rebound strong this week and prove that they are still a contender in 2A. This is homecoming for Somerset.

after coming off a tough loss to Breathitt County I believe the Jumpers will be ready and I expect them to win this game. Jumpers 35-14

I'm going to take the Jumpers 34-14. The had a fire lit under their ass against Breathitt, so I expect to see a new team out there Friday, it's a home game and it's homecoming so the atmosphere will be loud and exciting. TongueirateSho:worthy:

This is a tough game to pick. But I feel like Glasgow will pull off the victory Friday night.

This has the makings of a great game. I'm pulling for the Jumpers to make the turn-around this week, but if they can't find a way to put 24+ on the board they'll be in for a long night.

Win or lose Friday, the tougher schedule will help come Nov.
#11
Thus far I think somerset has played the tougher schudule and they're at the Brair patch so I'll say somerset wins a close one.
#12
If Somerset can control the run, and i think they can, they will win this one and be back on track.
#13
Man I would love to see this matchup. A preview of what could be 2A State Championship

Somerset- 28
Glasgow- 21

I feel that Somerset may have scheduled the wrong team for homecoming this year and they'll be leaving the Brair Patch disappointed Friday night. Just like when they did in '03' when Green Co. came to town. I'll take Glasgow in a shoot out.

I assume you mean '02, and that game was scheduled when we were projected to be a possible state champion in the preseason, #3 in preseason 1A poll. When a small school has its first, second, third and probably fourth best players go down for the season in the first three weeks, well, it leads to a 5-6 season.

Somerset didn't have much of a choice for their homecoming opponent. They only have 4 home games. One of those was the Correll Bowl and one of the others is on one of the best weekends of fall break and they aren't allowed to schedule homecoming then. Glasgow is not the homecoming opponent because anyone thought they would be an easy win.

Somerset bounces back and wins 28-14.

I played in that game for Green Co. and that QB I think his name was Tucker has one heck of a High School QB. And the Newell guy going down did hurt Somerset. Tht was a hard hitting hard fought game both times we've played Somerset.

With that being said I think Somerset having played tougher teams thus far gives them the edge over Glasgow. Although if glasgow wins I wouldn't be suprised they have as much talent at the skill position as anyone in Class 2A

I am going to say somerset 28-14.

Glasgow win this one, its just their year. 28-14.
#27
Because Somerset has such a tradition of winning, I 'll give them the win in a close one 21-14.
