Congrats to Boone County. Glad to see them moving on and Ryle out for the count. LOL Funny the crap they talked to me last year has now come back to haunt them fans. Good luck Boone and I hope to see you make it to the finals.

The Boone County football team won an intense defensive struggle against Ryle on Friday and avenged an earlier loss to the Raiders with a 14-7 Class 6A regional semifinal victory at Borland Stadium in Union.
"Our defense played great," said Boone County quarterback Kameron Schwartz, who aided the cause with an interception from his safety position. "It feels great to win.http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll...311120076/
The Rebels advanced to next week's regional final for the sixth time in 10 years because Schwartz kept redeeming himself following costly mistakes. Boone (8-4) got redemption following a 27-13 September loss to the Raiders (7-5).
Schwartz, who completed just three passes and was sacked twice, helped break a 7-all tie with a 1-yard keeper for a touchdown with 2:18 to play in the third quarter. The score capped a 13-play, 58-yard drive for the Rebels on the very next possession after Ryle's Ryan Smith intercepted Schwartz at the Raider 30 and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown.
With the Rebels clinging to a seven-point lead, Schwartz lost a fourth-quarter fumble. The Raiders, however, could not take advantage as Boone County stopped them on four plays, thanks to a ferocious effort by linebacker Robbie Hiles. Boone regained possession, and with rushes of 13 and 12 yards by tailback Cody Rodriguez, moved the ball inside the Ryle 25. Rodriguez rushed 28 times for 150 yards.

Garuntee the Ryle people will be trying to push the coach out the door. The folks in Union are not known for there patience. Doesn't matter that Elliot went down early with the terrible injury. The only problam i had with the coach was he made Elliot too much of the offense. Could have opened it up a little more on the passing game and made him that much more dangerous.

If you look at their QB's completion percentage and stats you will see why they did not want him passing all year. Even when we had our star RB, the QB still had horrible stats. Their QB is a runner first, QB second. I think he is a great athlete from the shoulders down, but not smart enough to be a QB you can rely on. Just one Ryle fan's opinion though.

I picked this game right. Congrats to the Rebels. I saw them play in Week 0 this year. They are a heck of a team.

One question... where were all the ryle fans? not even half of what I expected, This looked like a home game for Boone.

^ I heard that Ryle had kicked off 6 players from the team during the week ( I don't know if thats true or if the players were even contributors). Could there have been some level of dissension in Union???

Just wanted to say congradulations to Travis Elliot for a great HS career and wish him a quick recovery. Hope he goes on to have a nice College career.

Almost Correct, It was 3 but they were all injured players, one was Travis Elliot, not sure on the other 2. During the first round of the playoffs travis and 2 other kids went into the players parking lot and lit up supposedly some marijuana. Travis claims it was only a cigar and that he passed a home drug test. So maybe a boycott in Travis's defense?

Gotcha, so they were not players that would have made a difference:Thumbs:

Just curious since you are such a huge Ryle fan, who do you think should have played QB then. I mean the QB had no Travis Elliott and about 10-13 starters injuried throughout the year but yet they manage to finish runner up in the district and lost a hard fought game against a good Boone team who he scored 4 times on the first time they played. Just don't understand your angle. This team overachieved this year and did a good job. Good job to Boone on the win and good luck next week

I think they have come a long way from the last few years and was impressed with the changes they made on how they run there offense. It's been a long time coming. Was glad to see them knock Ryle out of the playoffs.

Isn't smoking anything against team rules? It should be, this isn't prison ball

After seeing them, I just could not see how it was possible that they lost to Dixie!
