Who wins and why?

Somerset.
In the regular season game between these two, LCA had only 19 yards of offense until the JV defense went in, in the 4th quarter. They will come much more prepared but I just don't see it happening for them. Especially with the miraculous return of Tevin Slaughter and the Somerset's injuries fading at just the right time.
Hopefully the refs will stay far out of Slaughter's way this time so they aren't the ones leaving with the injuries.

The word is out. Refs everywhere beware, Tevin Slaughter is back.

Going with Somerset in this rematch. The Jumpers rolled in the first meeting and Friday will be no different.

Lex Christian will surely look better on offense this time, but I lookfor the Jumpers to prevail.

If HC gets past NCC, I wouldnt assume Somerset will roll thru them to get to Bowling Green

I agree, NCC just looks to be the clear favorite to win that region just based on CHC and NCC's first meeting. But if Holy Cross can pull off the win I can assure you Somerset will not consider it a cake walk just because it isn't NCC.

You haven't given credit at all to Somerset's defense for Hazard's problems. The fact is that Somerset was trying to figure out their quarterback situation then and they did not play well either. That being said their defense, minus All-State lineman Trey Slaughter shut the Bulldogs out on their home field. Since settling in a quarterback the offense is much improved and the defense is now back at full strength as well. LCA did nothing on offense against the Jumpers in the first meeting and this time they travel to the Briar Patch. If Somerset plays like they have down the stretch they take this one 41-7.

Yeah, that must be true. The 16th region officials on the Leslie home field must have cheated for the 11th region "city":Shaking: team.

I expect this game to stay within two scores the whole game until the fourth quarter where it could take a turn either way. Just my guess though.

SOMERSET. LCA made lucky plays and etc. to get by Leslie.

Yep, they luckily scored 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter running the ball down your throat.

Somerset will win 1 more time. They have had the Field covered all week so the Field will dry and fast.

Norm, Don't let this guy get under your skin. I will assure you he doesn't speak for all Hazard fans and quite honestly knows very little about football in general. Somerset beat Hazard simply because they made the plays when they needed to and Hazard didn't make the plays to win the game primarily due to a very good Somerset defense. That being said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Good luck this week against LCA. I believe the Briar Jumpers will fair very well and win another Regional Championship. Good Luck!

Thank you. I don't think that Somerset is necessarily better than Hazard--the teams are actually very even. The Briar Jumpers were just better that night. It just bothered me that they have repeatedly downed Somerset and acted like it was a fluke that they won. I appreciate your comments and hope the Bulldogs make it back to, and win State this year.
