John Hardin at Bowling Green
#1
This should be a great game. #1 Bowling Green against #2 John Hardin. I think you can throw out the rankings. This one will be settled on the field.
#2
Bowling Green 32-17
#3
Should be a worthwhile game to see. I'm guessing BG 31 JH 28.
#4
John Hardin in a slugfest.
#5
35-21 John Hardin
#6
Going to be a game!
#7
If this game becomes a slugfest, John Hardin wins
If it becomes a track meet, Bowling Green wins
If it becomes both... AHH!!!

Best game in Kentucky this weekend, BG by a field goal in OT
#8
This will be the best game in the state of Kentucky this weekend.... I'm picking Bowling Green, but only because their at home....
#9
I really wish that I could see this game. I totally agree with toussaints, if this game is a track meet, it's Bowling Green coming away with the victory.
#10
Agree, will probably be the best game in the state. John and BG are head and head but I will take BG by 3.
#11
I'm going with John Hardin in this one. I would love to catch this game.
#12
A shootout with a couple of the best teams in the state. Fans should definately get their moneys worth Friday night in BG.
#13
This is your 5A state championship.
#14
Bowling Green by 10.

Agreed. This game, if nothing else, should be a lot of fun to watch!

Is this like jeopardy? I got the question. Who are 2 Class 5A teams that play each other this week that couldn't win a title if Highlands was still in 5A?
#17
^ Do you ever stop boasting about Highlands? I mean, I'm not from Ft. Thomas, but I'm a fan of the blue birds. But c'mon man, enough is enough. You should cheer for your team and everything but you take it overboard. Everyone knows they're awesome and on another level compared to everyone else, except Trinity. So just stop running it in the ground.

I don't put much into rankings, but Bowling Green is ranked higher than the Bluebirds in most state and national polls. Would love to see them play this year.
It might just be, that they dropped to 4A just in time. Highlands is a great program and deserve better fans than you.
#19
I don't much about Bowling green this year but Boyle has played Highlands and John hardin both, and i'd take John Hardin over Highlands by a TD on any given friday,John Hardins defense is way better than Highlands.on offense, and defense they have alot more size than the Birds, and just as much speed.plus thier offense has good balance and one of the best running backs in the state.they can play ball control or take it to the house on any given play.
#20
Highlands heard the same things before playing Hardin in 09. We saw how well that worked out for Hardin. Keep telling yourself that the first Highlands Boyle game was indicative of how it would turn out now. Better yet, ask Lexcath after Friday's game.
#21
John Hardin gave up 37 points to LexCath. Thirty-seven!!! 37!
#22
Sorry wideleft i know you responded to my post, but since you're on my ignore list i haven't a clue what you said nor do i really care.IMHO John Hardin has a better team than Highlands.

That's halarious :hilarious:, he's on my ignore list also so I was thinking the same thing. It's really been peaceful the last few days for some reason. I'm sure some of his "enablers" will be here shortly though.

He's a stone cold idiot.
#25
I like jeopardy. Answer Nobody
Question: Who gives a rats tail about highlands outside of Fort Thomas.
#26
As it has been said many times before, this will be the best game in the state! I think that it is hard to say who wins! I am going with Bowling Green due to home field advantage.

Bowling Green - 31

John Hardin - 28

I've seen both teams play but early in the season. BG's QB is phenomenal.
I think it's too close to call, those "intrinsic" factors will be the difference, i.e. fumbles, one missed defensive assignment, etc. It will all factor in.

Great game!! Good luck to both teams.

By the way HOW do I put someone on an ignore list????

Go to user CP at the top left of the screen, click on "edit ignore list" and type in the user name of the poor soul your fed up with.

This is definitely going to be a good game. Going to be fun to watch.

But for loyalties sake, I have to take John on this one..

John Hardin visits Bowling Green in a battle of unbeatens. "I'm glad we're here. I think we're the two best teams in 5A," Bowling Green Coach Kevin Wallace said. "Both of us are big and physical, both of us have guys who can make big plays, and both of us have guys who run real well. It shapes up as a great game." John Hardin Coach Mark Brown's main concern is containing Bowling Green QB Scooter Hollis, who has 2,300 yards and 30 TDs passing and running. "A dual-threat quarterback makes it so much tougher on your defense," Brown said. John Hardin's Wing-T attack is led by Jeremy Harness, who's rushed for 1,545 yards and 22 TDs. But Bowling Green can't just focus on the run. Bulldogs QB Eli Mitchell has passed for 1,481 yards and 20 TDs. John Hardin beat the Purples 28-21 in the 2009 semifinals. Bowling Green beat the Bulldogs 27-23 in the 2007 quarterfinals
