Congrats to the Warriors on a great 2011 season! You all could have easily given up mid-season, but you all kept fighting. This team did things that no other Warrior team has done before. Tonight's game does not define your all's season at all. GO WARRIORS!

Seth Carmichael opened the scoring with a 12-yard TD run and went on to throw three TD passes in the Bearcats 49-8 rout of visiting Southwestern in the Class 5A semifinals.
Carmichael was 20-for-24 for 277 yards. He threw a 63-yard TD pass to Spencer Ruggles and followed that up with a 36-yarder to Ross Cox and a 7-yarder to Travis Phillips.
Ethan Kelley, Ganville Hayes and Ross Cox also ran for touchdowns for Anderson County (12-2).

Congrats to the Warriors on a great season! I will be honest, after all of the stuff happened with Dale I really had written you guys off and wondered if you would even win a game facing such adversity. But you guys rose to the challenge and had a season ANYONE should be proud of, especially you guys with the mountain you had to climb. You guys have made your community proud.
The sun will rise again in Somerset tomorrow, for all of us. Let's get back to work on Monday and keep improving, great things are in store.

Congrats to AC and Coach Peach!

Anderson Co. QB Seth Carmichael simply put on a clinic. He is definitely the best QB I've seen play this year. At one point in the game, he completed 10 passes in a row. Very difficult to stop him.

Wow! Where was the defense that played last week? Did Anderson Co. run the ball at all?

The SW defense didn't show up...And Anderson finished with about 117 rushing yards.

defense didn't show up? more like they had no idea what was coming at them! they couldn't stop the passing attack so they over compensated to that and then they got hit with a run, 52 is a good player but he didn't do much on defense from what I saw and they didn't run away from him at all
they also held little #2 to 70 something yards on 20+ carries which hurt seeing as that is their offense

For as far back as I can remember, teams that can throw the football give SW fits.
I am a Warrior fan and I am proud of all they accomplished this year!
Good luck to Anderson Co. this week, because Bowling Green is really good.

Mark Peach in my opinion might be the best coach in the state of Kentucky.
1) He took over an Anderson County program over in '05 that had won 4 games in it's previous 4 years.
2) He has coached three teams to state semi final appearances. (Hancock '00, Dunbar '02 and Anderson in '11)
3) This is the 2nd team he has taken to the state finals (Hancock and now Anderson).
Hancock and Anderson's trips were/are the first ever in their respected school hostory(s). A lot of people judge off the number of championships a coach has and that is important. However, I look at their total body of work, like where there program was before they took over and what they have done since the coach left. Not only did he take Hancock County to the finals, but he did it in his 1st year as a head coach.

Well Anderson kept two or three people on 52 all night, and didn't move at all, he also got some good pressure on the quarterback but Anderson ran alot of three step drops so 52 couldn't get there, on the 5 or 7 seven step drops 52 got plenty of pressure and forced the qb to move but there was no one else to contain. For a d-lineman to get the attention of two or three blockers every play has to say something for the type of player he his.

Who was the SW coach flipping off the fans of Anderson and SW fans after being ejected. How classy is that.
11-27-2011, 11:24 AM
He will not be coaching next year!IMO he showed alot class on a big stage and looked like a horses a## and sure some SW fan didnt care to much on what he did.Great season to the kids and fans of SW!!!!!

Yes Williams is for the skill guys. You cant judge a skill guy with a lineman. Both Williams and Lewis should be 1st team all-state at their position
