Hey Bob...Who threw for both teams?

Simpkins went all 7 for JC

and

Stevens and Tucker for LC. Stevens started and probably went about 4 and Tucker went the last 3. Something like that.

^Thanks Bob.

How'd LC get their run?

Back to back triples to start the bottom of the 1st. Logan limited them to one hit for the next 7 innings. Pitched really well.

AAHH...It happens. Thanks again.

The difference in the game was a big third inning. With the score tied 1-1 JC scores 5. After the first Logan settled in and pitched a heck of a game.

How many teams are trying the 3 game stuff anyways

To my knowledge only the 57th district.

Stevens went 3 innings; gave up 6 runs on 9 hits with 2 k's. Tucker did a really good job after Stevens pitching the rest of the way ( 4 innings) only surrendering 2 hits and 0 runs.

4 hits for LC ( Daniel was 2/2, Salyer triple, Stevens single)

JC had 11 hits in the game and LC had 2 errors

Daniels had a good game at the plate he looked strong but went 2/3, Salyer led off the game with a triple, but I don't remember the 4th hit. My count had it 12hits to three. Lawrence opened up with back to back triples and then a line drive to center witch JC made a good play on and ended up getting out of the inning. I wouldn't have give Logan a chance on getting out of the second the way they hit him in the first, but he buckled down and only gave up one more hit to Ethan. Like I said before he pitched a heck of a game.

Yeah, you're probably right about the innings that each pitched. Mine was just a quick estimate off the top of my head. However EP is correct. There were just 3 LC hits on the night. Salyers with a triple and Daniels with a single and a triple. Perhaps a difference in an opinion scoring on the other, but the LC scoreboard showed only 3 as well.

And yes Tucker was effective with the submarine delivery.

Congrats JC. Like others have said... the 3rd inning made the difference in the game.

I was in the press box, the scoreboard keeper forgot to put up the hit. Central had 11, LC had 4. Daniel with 2, Skylar Sayler with 1, and lefty Brandon Stevens had a single as well.

One bad inning like always hurt the Bulldogs. Impressed with Central at the plate, pretty good hitting team on the fastball, neither team could adjust to the curveball.

lchs had 4 hits. i may be bad with math but i think i can count fairly well. there were two hits in the 1st inning by salyer and daniel. then daniel and stevens had solid singles later in the game. i am not sure why i am arguing this because getting just 4 hits against a soft lefty isn't anything to brag about.

i also want to comment about what i read on a previous post. i think you were saying that jchs has a bunch of 8th, 9th, and 10th graders on the roster. if i'm wrong then i am sorry. jchs roster may be young but their experience isn't. from what i saw last night jchs started a c, 1b, 2b, ss, cf, rf that all played varsity last year. how is that young? for lchs they started a c, 2b, and ss that had varsity experience last year. although they have a lot of juniors on the team those players played JV last year and the year before. that is young.

Why so sensitive? I dont think the first negative comment has been made by anyone from either fan base?

Looking at both teams 18 man rosters that are posted on the KHSAA website it shows:

LC
2 seniors
4 juniors
12 sphomores and below

JC
3 seniors
3 juniors
12 sophomores and below.

Looks virtually identical to me. That's all I was pointing out.

nothing negative intended. i was just pointing out that there is a difference between jchs youth and lchs youth. jchs young players have seniors/juniors there that have varsity experience while lchs is playing with juniors/soph/fresh that have no varsity experience. that makes a huge difference. i think you saw the difference last night. that was my only intention was to point out that comparing the rosters using the players grade level is not the correct way to compare.

Not that it's a big deal, and certainly nothing worth getting into an arguement over, but IMO worth noting since we're on the subject. Those "young" LC players have massive amounts of off season experience in a varsity setting too. Probably way more than the average JC "experienced" player, and certainly way way way more than just about every other team in the 15th region, except for JC and those younger kids from Paintsville right now. And when you come in with a 6-0 record it kinda shows. Several of our "experienced" kids that played last night did not even participate in offseason games. Travis/Randy has always seen to an extensive amount of off season gaming. Kinda mandatory isn't it?

Didn't mean to call out the scoreboard operator lol, wasn't in any bad intentions I promise. As for the game the difference was hitting. Johnson Central hit the ball better, and hit it solid. Really impressed with Chase Blevins, Ross Sanor, Will Meek, and the Juwan Mayes kid to name a few. The Eagles came in hacking and really smacked the ball around, pitcher left the ball up in the zone and JC capitalized on it. It was a great game to call on the air. Good luck to both tonight!!!
