Position: Guard

Height: 5-11

On the floor: Already a three-year starter for the Indians, Hawkins averaged 19.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists as a junior. He helped the Indians to a 31-2 record, including a 22-0 start. Hawkins already has 1,700 career points and is just 170 behind the school’s all-time leader, Aaron Morris. He averaged 16.9 points as a sophomore and 15.2 as a freshman. He also played on the varsity as an eighth-grader, averaging 1.8 points.

Off the floor: Hawkins is also a standout in football, rushing for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns last fall. He threw a TD pass and had 16 catches for 316 yards and five TDs.

Future: With one season left, Hawkins has scholarship offers from Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee Tech, Valparaiso and Morehead State.

Quotable: “Dominique has been our leading scorer for three years now,” Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus said. “He’s not only a great player but an even better person. He is a complete player for us that not only leads us in scoring but is also our best defender.”
