Wow! Knew the kid was good but didn't know he was that good in the eyes of colleges so young. Good for him. Good things are going on at MS.
How is he in the classroom?

After Jeremy Clark committed, and now Damien Harris has an offer, and Tony Messer has interest from Michigan, it's safe to say Coach Hoke is watching over the Bluegrass for talent!

If so good, then is UK shown interest?

Uk and Tenn have offered. Along with several others according to scout. From what I've gathered dont think he has any interest in Uk. Kid ran a 4.42 at 195lbs. Good night, that's fast!

WOW! Why only six games. the kids geting Big time colleges offers and he only get playing time in 6 games on a 2-8 team. was he hurt any last year. If I was coaching a 2-8 team and had a player like that he would start every game, or at least play alot every game.

Madison Southern has had some very talented players in the past including some major college prospects. Why have they never been able to get past mediocrity?
At the HS level, specifically the lower classes of KY, one elite player usually is enough to make a team Top 10 caliber. Why has Madison Southern never been able to get over the hump? They have a solid talent pool, pretty good facilities, and it is not like Madison Central is an elite program who is stealing all the talent at a younger age.

IMO- the adminstration never supported the Fball program much. Ms has lost talent to MC, Rock to name a few in past years. I think the difference is the coaching staff Ms has right now. Bias- I have a connection to the staff but even w/o that they are the differ. The kids love them bc they care about them other then just Fball. Talking to several parents they (coaches) take a genuine interest in the players. I know from my personal exp: I played harder and put more effort when I knew my coaches cared for me. IMO and that of several others the last several staffs at Ms didn't have that. I know for summer works they have had over 50 kids at every workout. Has MS ever had 50 kids finish the season; other then last year? No. It's a differ attitude there now. Wish them the best.

Would love to see MS turn the corner. With Madison Central being such a basketball-first type of school I think there is a ton of potential for Southern to be a hot bed if the right staff is put in place, including seeing a lot of kids choose to attend Southern after 8th Grade. Just look at what Garrard County is doing now that they have a good HC in place, and IMO they don't have nearly the talent pool Southern has to work with.

After Lamar Dawson's high profile recruitment and subsequent performance at USC, any skill kid in Ky. with decent measurables and combine numbers is going to get noticed. It just takes a few keystrokes and news is circulated to sports and recruiting blogs around the country. I fear younger players are sometimes oversold and hyped just to get on the bandwagon. I would want more than six games to base that on. You can bet with the publicity - teams this fall will be keying on him. He will have plenty of time to assert himself.

Madison Central a basketball school? Based on what? Their football program hasn't won big, but the basketball program has underachieved just as much.
Southern has had good teams occasionally. Mike Elkin had a couple of good years as did Doug Carter. There has never been anything sustainable at MS.
Southern may turn the corner, but went 2-8 in 2011 beating a 3-7 North Laurel and 0-11 Lynn Camp. The closest any of their losses were was an 11 point loss to Wayne Co. In other words, they were hammered in most of those 8 losses.
I hope Madison Southern improves and they should with a talent like Harris. But let the Eagles falter with a talent like Harris and the "feel good" for the coaching staff that cares about the players outside of football will go by the wayside.
It's all about winning.

In 2007, Aaron Boyd, a 6-4 217 lb., widely heralded player - ranked by Rivals.com and others as the #1 prep prospect in Kentucky - went to UK as a can't miss prospect. In three years, Boyd has caught 6 passes for 51 yards. His longest reception has been 16 yards.
