I honestly don't mind UK losing this year. The more we lose, the sooner Joker gets canned and we can get a real coach in there. Both Joker and Charlie Strong are in the third season at their respective schools. It's evident which one is going in the right direction, and which one isn't.

The SEC should kick Ky out of the conference for refusing to make an effort to hire a legitimate coach and build a solid football program? I will never buy into the opinion that you cannot build a quality football program at KY like a large percentage of fans of the Commonwealth choose to accept year after year!!! Keep hiring coaches that AT BEST have the ability to recruit only low level D1 talent. Why the powers to be at UK do not have the balls to step up and go out and pay the kind of money it takes to attract a top notch, big name proven winner for a coach is just total BULL SHIT IMO.

I have never expected UK to ever compete for SEC titles, but there is no reason that it cannot have a respectable program that beats mediocre out of conference foes like U of L on a regular basis. UK is a poorly coached team trying to compete in an elite conference. The school has fulfilled its obligation to Joker. Give him a parting gift and find a more experienced coach who is up to the challenge.

Does UK have enough money to pay both John Calipari and a quality football coach? If UK wants to hire a top notch coach, a guy that can recruit the best and keep the program in shape, then they'll have to dig deep into the wallets to get it. UK is not an attractive football job. Sure, they have the facilities, they play in the SEC and they're located in a great college town. But, they're not going to get anywhere near the same exposure, excitement, and support that basketball does. you've also got 3 programs around you getting better every year (louisville, cincinnati, west virginia) and it also doesn't help that UK is one of the few SEC schools that deals with cold weather. those speedy guys from georgia, alabama, louisiana are not as fast when its cold. joker will be fine if he gets back to recruiting in ohio and hiring younger coaches to keep the players excitement levels up
