1. Highlands- It's lonely at the top.
2. Conner- Cougars with a major statement win, unfortunately they get the short end of the 3-way Tiebreaker stick.
3. CovCath- Colonels stinging after a loss set their sights on a re-match with the Birds.
4. Cooper- You lose one game all season and you get a 3 seed and have to travel to the defending State Runner-Up.
5. Campbell County- Camels lose to a solid Ballard team by a point, they now declare war on Lexington.
The Next 5:
NewCath
Holmes
Beechwood
Dixie Heights
Simon Kenton
Game of the Week:
Cooper @ Anderson County- As flawed as the KHSAA playoff system is, it almost seems unfair that two teams with a combined record of 17-3, and arguably two of the 25 best teams in the entire state must play each other in Round 1 while elsewhere teams they have defeated handidly get a cakewalk to the 2nd Round.

Agree with the Cooper vs Anderson game. That game could have just as easily been for the regional championship. I would bet that the winner of that game does play for the regional champioship
