So astronomers have known for sometime we would have a rather large asteroid pass within the earth and the moon yesterday.
I find it interesting the same day the asteroid would be the closest to our planet a "meteor" the size of a large bus traveling 33,000 mph enters our atmosphere over Siberia.
However, this is pure coincidence according to the experts. The events are being reported as unrelated by the media.
Would someone please enlighten me to the sheer coincidence of this event or are we simply mere buffoons of the media....maybe a lot of both
nicker:

Asteroids are something that you really want to avoid. But you can add lotion to them and make them better! But I'm not sure how you avoid getting Meteorites! I bet creams won't heal them.....

I have a tendency to doubt much of what I hear from the media and here's the reason. To me one is asking to be led around by his nose if he bases everything he believes on what he hears and not what he can plainly see for himself. Additionally, the media's track record of late has not been a very honorable one, in fact, in many times past, we know we have been intentionally misled. Case in point would be the Benghazi scandals. We know Candy Crowley misrepresented the record to help her candidate (Obama) get the upper hand on republican Mitt Romney in the second debate. Without her assistance, Romney would have had Mr Obama on the ropes and well he should have, he was right. So, what we had was a planned media manuver which unfairly skewed results in a pivotal presidential debate to help the liberal candidate. How do I know it was planned? Because while Obama's words forming the request for Crowley to read from speech he had made from the Rose Garden were yet hanging in the air, Crowley burst forth reciting the exact text of the speech from memory. I mean, are you gonna believe your own eyes and ears, or what the media tell you? Not to mention the fact that her contribution amounted to nothing short of Mitt Romney having been 'tag teamed' by the democratic candidate and what was supposed to be an unbiased moderator in the person of known ultra liberal, Candy Crowley.
Same thing is true with regard to the rest of the news reporting en-toto of the Benghazi attacks, and the failures of the administration to protect our diplomatic corps. All of which culminated at the worst possible time, on the eve of a suddently very tight presidential election. In my eyes the truth is, our state department, demonstrated our (the USA's) willingness to expose our diplomats to the dangers of the area, especially in view of the fact that everybody else pulled out fearing the likelihood of violent reprisals, in an effort by our state department to prove how desperate we are to be friends. You know, sort of like the lion trainer that puts his head in the lion's mouth? Liberals believe desperately that all we need to do to win over the arab world is prove how sincere we really are. This idea flyies in the face of all we know about life long jehadists, sworn enemies of the US and engaged in setting up the prophesied Islamic Calphate but, then liberals just feel soooo deeply about all this, LOL. Instead, of unbiased and fair minded reporting on Benghazi, we've heard absolutely nothing but the administration's cover story, invented, and provided, double-speak, staight from the same folks who are dodging their responsibilities in the first place. In short, the media is reporting dodges and excuses as the story, and left investigative reporting completely out of the process. This idea works for them because they want to protect liberal politicians and it save mountains of man hours, LOL.
I always refer to the source that I know I can trust, when it comes to whether or not we will suffer a direct hit from an asteroid or a comet, or whether man is likely to be destroyed by global warming or some other disaster. God has clearly recorded in the scriptures the way the earth will end. First, He mentions in Genesis 8:22 (KJV)
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Doesn't sound much like man suffering and floundering in a global warming crisis to me.
Second, Man still has to fight one last World War in Revelation 16:16 (KJV)
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Revelation 17:14 (KJV)
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Here's how the present earth ends 2 Peter 3:10 (KJV)
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
This earth will be completely consumed some distant day alright, but, it will be after man's business is finished. Therefore, I'm not worried about global warming, or planet busting space rocks. The media is a big problem for our nation none the less.

The thing that has me worried for people is the 7 or 3.5 years of peace and the 7 or 3.5 years of famine that follow. I'm rusty on it. But before the antichrist sets up his kingdom there will so many years of near peace on earth if I remember right. and guess who will be the giver of peace in these people's eyes? John Lennon and his followers.. or so to speak
I'm in love with Tawnya.. hehe..

Not to worry. He explained that the church will escape the bad part of the tribulation in Revelation 3:9-10 (KJV)
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
And you're exactly right on with regard to the "brotherhood of man" as envisioned by John Lennon. The liberal believes in secular humanism, and has faith that man is getting better as he evolves and that he will continue to get better as time goes by. They see mankind reaching a state of mutual respect and understanding, when he will reach out in a sort of universal brotherhood of acceptance. And then peace will abound. Here's what God has said about that possibility however,
1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV)
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
May I suggest to you that America finds herself in that kind of predicament as we speak? She is 'pregnant' with the consequences of her own bad decisions. And, some day soon, she will reap the whirlwind. Just as there is no way for a woman to dodge the birth of her baby, travail will come upon the US at some point, and there will be no way to mitigate the seriousness of her difiances against God. A nation that has by virtue of 236 years of recorded historical record referred to herself as "Christian", can no more expect to get away with the murder/extermination of 55 million innocent unborn babies, than could Hitler or Stalin, in fact, our Christian heritage much more guarantees the coming travail.

They say that the rock wasn't spotted until it was too late to warn anyone.
I'm not sure I believe that as there are tons of cameras pointed to space and monitored 24 hours a day. Now it may have been because they were too focused on the Asteroid that they weren't paying attention to it, but still, doesn't make sense. Especially seeing that scientists aren't making that big of a deal about it.
