Kentucky Football Adds Twins to 2014 Class by Way of Transfer
#1
Justin Rowland of Rivals.com is reporting that Demitrious and Chris Davis will transfer from Pitt and be eligible for Kentucky Football in the 2014 season.

Here is an excerpt from the story:

Quote:Sources have informed Cats Illustrated that the former Panthers officially visited Kentucky on Tuesday and have told the staff of their intent to transfer to UK.

Demitrious Davis, a high school wide receiver, switched to running back at Pitt.

Last year the twins were redshirt freshmen at Pittsburgh. They will have to sit out for the 2013 season before they are eligible the following year. They will then have three years of eligibility.

Natives of Austintown (Ohio), the Davis brothers attended Austintown Fitch. They were both ranked among the top 40 prospects in Ohio as members of the Class of 2012, and ranked the No. 32 and No. 33 athletes in the nation according to Rivals.com.

Both brothers began their Pitt careers as wide receivers but Demitrious was eventually moved to running back. Given Kentucky’s depth woes at receiver it seems likely that both brothers will be given a chance to play that position

Demitrious Davis was a 3* player (athlete) ranked 32 @ his postion, 39th in Ohio in 2012

Chris Davis don't have a rivals profile, or at least I couldn't find one on him

It said in the article that they were ranked 32 and 33 at their position. So, I would assume that they were both 3* recruits.

Twins set to transfer to UK football from Pitt

Special to CatsIllustrated.com

Demitrious Davis and his twin brother Chris Davis have played football on the same team everywhere they've been and most recently at Pitt. Now the former Panthers are transferring to Kentucky.

Sources informed Cats Illustrated on Tuesday afternoon that the former Panthers officially visited Kentucky and told the staff of their intent to transfer to UK. The twins confirmed their transfer via their Twitter accounts.

Given Kentucky's depth woes at receiver it seems likely that both brothers will be given a chance to play that position.

According to Pitt's official athletic site Chris caught more than 50 passes over his final two years of high school football, while an injury limited Demitrious to just three games of action during his senior year.

They were both ranked three-star (5.7) prospects and held offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Boston College, Cincinnati, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon, Oregon State, Purdue, UCLA, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.
