Heard they lost a lot to graduation but still have quality athletes. Birds win at home.

Hard to know in this one but have heard from friends who talked to a college coach who has watched both teams and he said Highlands should not have too much trouble in this game. I like Highlands in this one by 17, but who knows. This game is a lot more fun than going into games you know are going to be a blowout.

I don't know much about what University Christian has coming back but it looks like they have a smaller (in numbers) roster than Highlands. Hopefully that comes into play. Either way I'll be rooting for the Kentucky team.

Good luck highlands .

Fun that the birds are playing a florida team.... UCHS won state last year in one of the small to middle classes.... still its florida, where half of D1 kids come from.... you never know... glad birds got slapped in the face by T last week. wake up its football season!

This is a hard one. IMO highlands will have their hands full in this one. UC is a smaller school but they are from Florida and we know what type of players come from that state. I believe uc wins by a late score. They didn't come this far north to lose!

UC has a roster of around 35-40 players, several kids go both ways.
Highlands platoons and doesn't play anyone both ways.
UC (HS enrollment around 450) was 2A state champs out of 8 classes in Florida. All schools in that class are small private schools.

So roughly half the enrollment of Highlands (820 students 9 through 12).

55 looked good on O line with good speed but really surprised they use him on kick off and kick return teams! Looks like a lot of players go both ways and special teams, that will be tough on an 85 degree day game.

One thing you have to remember they are from Florida, the heat won't be that much of a factor IMO.

It's a different kind of athlete in Florida so this might be closer than ppl think but I like highlands

this team looks like a Louisville Central type team, big and fast, tough, but not as deep and disciplined as Highlands, I think Highlands shuts em down pretty fast...wish I had ESPN U to see the game

Ill take Highlands at home

It will be nice to HHS whoop somebody not from KY. I think they have one of their most talented teams this year, and FL will find that out shortly. I think they win by at least 2 TD's. Depth and talent off the chart, and looking to make a statement early in the season (not to mention some of the best coaching staff in the country). This and the Elder game may be their goals this year, as the 4A title is a virtual lock.

Would be a bitter pill to lose their opener.

would rather lose a good competitive game than win in a huge blowout like a lot of their games have been over the last 6 years.

i think H's depth is the factor. Birds by 12.

New press box, scoreboard and the field are done (painting/sunk whole). Up next cleaning an black topping towards the south end zone. Going to be fun this year, say good bye to the old turf field and Death valley. Next year welcomes a new turf and field house.
Go Birds!
