Dixie on a roll

TC was a top 10 team this year! Dixie is really impressive. I get to see them next week, I look forward to it!

TC drove down the length of the field on their opening drive and I'm thinking this is going to be another track meet, with a Lexington team, with a field full of athletes. I was wrong
nicker:.
Red Zone defense for Dixie got it done tonight until the second stringers gave up a 4th qrtr. TD. Dixie has morphed into a well balanced team. I'm officially drinking a few quarts of the Colonel Kool Aid.
I can't speak for the TC staff, however, I saw a lot of larger, stronger football players on the sideline for TC. Dixie won this game by owning the trenches.
Prayers for quick healing and recovery to the injured. We look forward to seeing Dusty, and his herd, out into Campbell County next week!

Good win for Colonels. Looks like a showdown looming in Independence in a couple weeks. A lot riding on the game next week with Campbell Co.

Congrats to a very good Dixie Team and a class group of young men. Whipped our tails at the line of scrimmage and dominated us physically up front. Made it tough sledding. And we're very complimentary of our kids. Good luck to Dixie going forward. They ground and pound us and we couldn't get on track offensively. Only complaint I had was about te weird setup of the field where the visitors section is a little strange. Lol. On to district play after we played a very tough stretch of games. Looking to win the district and end 7-3 and host the playoffs. Lots of football left.

Always take the Northern Kentucky team over the Fayette County team.

From what I saw... On Video!!! (because I managed to catch the Madison Southern game at the same time!) ...this was a disaster from jump. I really hate to toot my own horn, but "toot toot", I was right. Neither QB was prepared for this team. Not that it would have mattered, because this game was won on the line of scrimmage. If Creek wants to win going forward, they have some soul searching to do... because they have the talent.

Talent is not the problem in Fayette County. There is no dedication to football from the administration. NKy eats, drinks and breaths football.

Be sure to say or add, Fayette County public schools. Cause from my understanding, LCA and Lex Cath have done well against NK teams. Just saying:rockon:

Gridiron Grit Wrote:Bingo...Gridiron Grit, all I ever see you post is talking up Graham Gordon. Whom I wholly believe to be a good quarterback, however he takes too long making his reads and tries to force throws. He also has poor ball protection and he is oblivious running around the backfield and tries to run when it's okay to check down or throw the ball away and has fumbled a couple times this year because of that. If he can correct mental errors then he can be a solid, if not one of the best quarterbacks in the state (the tools are there). But his mental makeup is iffy. He's still a little immature and doesn't quite understand what it takes to be a good leader, (hence the disciplinary issues, skipping practices, poor respect in the locker room) and needs to grow up a little on and off the field before he can be truly great. The reason they're going with Jake Ryan, the senior quarterback, is because he is a great leader and makes smart decisions. All I ever hear is about Ryan being put down and being called a bad quarterback, and he really isn't that bad. He wont make the big highlight reel plays, but he'll protect the ball and manage the game. The line is undersized and has been hit with an injury bug, but they work hard and it's hard to hold a block for 10 seconds. The defense at times has looked fantastic, but remember that they've also played some VERY stout competition lately. It seems that everyone always blames the line or defense, but in reality, -win as a team, lose as a team. Creek will be fine. Regardless of quarterback.
