I heard there was a 60 yard field goal in this game that is F***** in incredible and I rarely cuss lol

2nd week in a row for the free kick rule. Russell last week, JC this week. The 60 yard field goal was on a free kick following a fair catch at the 50.

Congratulations to JC and Tyler

To me this was a free kick and not a field goal. A field goal has a snap and holder and this was from the tee. The boy from Raceland who had the old record had a snap and holder and rush. It was a nice kick by the boy from JC.

I am assuming that you did not know that "the boy from JC" previously shared the 58 yard FG record with the "boy from Raceland" which had a "snap and a holder" too? Ah heck, might as well steal his thunder from that one too?

It's a flaw in the rules. Our coach tried that about 10 years ago, but the kid missed it. JC will probably get several more chances to extend the record, if they want to.

To the K.H.S.A.A., it's a field goal.

And an awesome one. And he has two more years to work on this. Would love to see to see a JoCo kid playing on Saturdays...maybe on Sundays. Keep working hard, young fella.

Crongrats and awesome job by Pack!
But, I have to agree with Sports Dad. Not the same and it should have a * next to it. It's totally different from a tee with no rush. Heck with his leg he could prolly kick a 70 yarder like that.

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

According to KHSAA it is legit. It was an awesome kick. Its hard to imagine kicking it that far no matter what. You could tell he was feeling it last night. His first two kickoffs went through the endzone. This kid works his tail off.He comes out and kicks everyday while the team practices then goes and practices soccer.Excellent record for a great young man with a great family.I can't wait to see what the next few years are like.

I agree it's is a great accomplishment. But, RIPKIN, You and everyone who knows anything about football, knows there IS a difference. The NFL Record is 63 yards and those goes send Kick Offs into the bleachers. It's a totally different kick when snapped and placed. Actually if the Free Kick Rule is used in the NFL and College. The ball still has to be placed and held and NO aid of a Tee.
Trust me. I'm NOT hating on the kid. I'm just being honest and realistic.

Congrats to the Eagles on the win.. Big congruoations to Tyler pack on getting the state record. To think he's just a sophomore is scary. Love to see this kid kicking in commonwealth and even further. Congrats

No your just being the typical know it all ass hole like you always are. Try not to pay any attention to him people he's still trying to find his identity. He was raised as one of you all and came running to Paintsville when athletics were at an all time low for playing time and now he thinks he's one of us. I'm not a Central fan by no means but I congratulate Tyler Pack on an outstanding accomplishment. All of Johnson County should be proud off this young man and quit trying to down play his accomplishments.

we all know that if this kid kicks one as long or longer with a snap and holder, and some kid breaks that record with a free kick that some JC fans will be saying that it wasn't legit

The notion that your kid took playing time from anybody is hilarious and didn't he quit on his teammates in football? By the way son, I was born a Tiger not a pretend one.

I agree it was by the rules and a legit State Record.
And if I'm not mistaken Ripken. The 49ers attempted one this year?
I'm just saying it's different with a tee. I wouldn't be surprised if he get's a 65 yarder before he graduates from the free kick. He's definitely got the leg.

LOL....Grow up and go High jack another thread.
He didn't even start in football and the only reason he played was because I made him. But, he did help lead soccer and baseball to Regional Championship appearances and 12 Letters and is still playing at the next level. I'm not complaining. But, if you would like to discuss this man to man. I would be more than happy to set your dumb ass straight. You can even hold my leg. Cause I won't need it.
Remember.....I'm NOT the one talking shit and HIDING behind my screen name.
