Danville also won a 3 way tie at 2-1 for district.
I am not up to date on how the tiebreaker is broken so I have no idea who is champion.
Listened to this game and it sounded like another Pikeville night for the Jackets. Alot of penalties and stupid mistakes. A lot of injuries too, sounds like both teams are really banged up. Middlesboro has 1 original lineman left and hosts of other backups at key postions according to radio broadcast.
Congrats to Somerset on the win, funny district, Mboro drills Danville, Danville drills Somerset, Somerset drills Middlesboro. Weird district.

Middlesboro lost because they are beaten up badly and Somersets backups just happen to be better than Middlesboro's

The University of Middlesboro game at the Middlesboro Convention Center tmrw should be a good one. Any injuries will go to Middlesboro Medical Center for treatment. The turf threw the Jackets off, they are used to the old outdated grass fields.

I'm a boro fan no excuses somerset is better plain and simple. Middlesboro could not move the ball all night yes they have 3 or 4 lineman out but that is part of football somerset isn't 100% healthy either congrats somerset, you would think that Middlesboro fans would be happy that there team is improved, and had a chance at a district chapionship we have not had a relevent team since 2006, so as a Middlesboro fan i'm proud of them.

On the other side of things, the Yellow Jackets have to be very satisfied with what will end up being a 8-2 regular season record! They definitely surpassed my expectations! Congrats Mboro!

nicker:I thought about moving to Middlesboro for my career... then I heard how awful the traffic was and figured Atlanta was just a little bit more laid back.
Be careful navigating those busy streets next year. May want to use their public transportation system and just commute from the suburbs. I am sure at least two Panthers will miss the game with injury from straining their neck to stare at all those high rises.

I think the team needs to go down there on Wednesday next year to have enough time to get over bus ride lag and try to get used to being in the city.
Or at least drive to Harlan on Thursday and get a good night's sleep and then drive on in on Friday.

I went to Mboro once. Got lost in the subway, and ended up on 142nd st.

How will this region play out Danville won . I'm all confused on how this will work out. What round would M'boro and Somerset play if they both continue to win, and what round would M'boro and Danville play if both continue to win. I think Middlesboro has home field for the first 3 weeks via tie breaker.

What is the deal with all the bad mouthing Middlesboro city. What does that have to do with football? Middlesboro is close to harlan, and it is the only place near by to go to Penny's or Belks. That's not our fault. Paul Patton built Pikeville with Harlan, pikeville, and Bell county coal severance money. Along with all the other eastern ky counties. That's not our fault. That's life! When somebody figures the playoffs out would you please post it. And when is the next Pikeville game I'm already pumped.
