Pitiful, and shows it. Pikeville' only loss was to 3A Belfry, they dominated Hazard and 2A Middlesboro, and are behind Hazard and Williamsburg both? Williamsburg's only quality win was over Pike County Central, and even that was early in the year before they gelled. If they played now, I'd lay money Central would beat them by 2 TD's. Good team, but definitely not above Pikeville in the rankings, IMO.

Pikeville has a lower rating than 3 teams they beat by an average of 20 points (Prestonsburg, Hazard, Middlesboro). Tells me all I need to know. But Cantrall ratings have been worthless for a few years now.

....... Sure. You DO realize that Pikeville beat Middlesboro by 30, right? Who ripped whose' defense? Turnovers? Those are part of the game. To put in perspective, even against Belfry, a team that took us to the woodshed, and would do the same to Middlesboro, Pikeville was -3 in TO margin. Against Middlesboro, we were +6. For the year, Middlesboro's biggest problem has been turnovers against good teams. Based on available KHSAA stats, Middlesboro is -13 in the turnover column, while Pikeville is +16. GOOD teams force turnovers and take advantage of them.
