Who will be new coach at South Laurel?

How about Sams who was the DC at North Laurel last year. Greg Duncum would also be a good hire.
#3
Apparently, North Laurel is looking for a defensive coordinator. Has Sams taken another job or just resigned?
#4
Did South just hire a new AD this year? That could help the problem some if true.
#5
Jim Black would be a good hire.
#6
I could see Duncum or Haddix at south. :Cheerlead

I would say Duncum got his feel of Laurel Co schools when he was at north. I just don't see him going back for more of the same old stuff. Haddix on the other hand might be a good fit but just don't see him leaving either.

But this is south I can see the red carpet for Duncum and perry county don't support football like they do basketball.I just think Haddix need to be somewhere else and start all back over.An he can rebiuld a team from scratched...:Cheerlead

South Laurel doesn't support football like it does basketball either.

I will just tell you the truth!!!! If Whitley doesn't hurry up and hire GUT then they are going to lose out and South is going to be the winner, cause South will be after him hard with big bucks.

So Dudley was seen close to London and close to Williamsburg today. If we could just figure out which school is in between the two maybe we would know where Dudley will end up....Confusedhh:

I mean, I know PCC's history and obsession with basketball, but that brand new football complex has to say something about their commitment level changing, does it not? Or was that another coal grant, saying "here, we want to build this for you?" (which, good for them; either way)

New field is off campus and according to some parents it is more of soccer move. The football team only gets to use it during games is what I was told??

The AD does not do the hiring, that falls to the Principal.
#21
Wouldn't be surprised if its not JB Donahue from Harlan.
#22
I hadn't thought of that but JB Donahue would be an upgrade over what they have had since Jep left.
#23
I think Donahue has been at Harlan a long time and is close to retirement, why would south try to hire someone who is going to retire in a couple of years and then be stuck looking for a coach all over again.
#24
I would love to see JB Donahue get this job. A great coach that would be rejuvinated with a new gig. I could see him doing this for atleast 10 more years. He is only 49. I know that is old for most of you, but I believe he would be a perfect fit. I saw where someone mentioned him for the Whitley job, anyone would be lucky to get him.
#25
coach siezmore could be interested, was an assistant here sometime ago, I can't remember off hand what school he went to but heard he was doing well.
#26
Rumor in Corbin is Steve Jewell is interested.

I am sure you would be upset over that. :biglmao:

That maybe a good move for both parties, but I can't see it happening.

I bet thats a lie, he probably knows how sports is there and would rather quit than go there.
#29
Donahue is an excellent coach and man. South would be lucky to have him.
#30
I'd rather him go to Whitley. That way we don't have any kids transferring to Whitley.
