When did JC's jv go in to the game. I was going to the game but theres no way i was going to go fight for space on the fence to watch this game.
#5
It could have been. It was 49-0 at half. Clock ran entire 2nd half. JC actually scored with 3 minutes and change left in the 3rd. and kick the extra point in the fourth quarter.

Good job Eagles.

JC's defense played great tonight holding P'ville to 5 yards rushing and 104 yards passing with 60 of those coming on 1 play. Their O-line played great also WSIP said that Grimm had 6 TD's Blake Johnson had a lot of good runs.

I think that some of the JV was in at halftime. It was not a pretty sight. Both teams played with heart. Nothing that wasnt expected. Good job to both teams. Congrats Eagles on an awesome win.
#8
No doubt it could have been much worse, JC only scored 1 TD after halftime, but the final score is about what I expected....I bet there wasn't a seat in the house for this game.

Why did Matney put his starting D back in the game after Pville took a long pass play down to the 5 yard line?

All I can say is thank god for the running clock in the second half. The Tigers came out fired up in the second half, I was proud of them. I wish they would have played like that in the first half. Hats off to both teams, good luck to both the rest of the season and hopefully both will bring their respected district championships to Johnson County.

On a side note, I won my bet when I took Paintsville and the 77 points, lol.

Congrats to the eagles! Sounds to me like JC has a lot of class about them playing their jv with a comfortable lead....good luck to both teams

Congrats to the eagles

I was in attendance at this game and first off the atmosphere was awesome! First time Ive ever been and it wont be the last. Now to the game, JC is unrelentless on the Defensive side of the ball. They just shut down Pugh and the rest of the Tiger offense. And of course the offense wasnt too bad either! Congrats Central

Knew this was coming! Congrats Eagles!

Great game by the Eagles tonight and specifically Shawn Grimm. It was nice to see Grimm have an explosive game after the personal attack against him this week by the kitties. When is Paintsville going to learn not to pick on JC's running backs. Last year it was Blume with 350 yds and 3 TD's and this year it was Grimm with 250 yds rushing, 30 yds receiving, and 6 TD's. This game was the blowout that most expected and now lets get back to the real schedule when we host Greenup at home this week.

Knew this one was coming..AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tigers..You better but roses and steaks for the Johnson Central coaches because they could have went for the century mark on ya...Sure doesn't feel good does it Tigers..CONGRATS EAGLES!

I agree, the atmosphere was awesome...As far as the attacks from P-ville this week, I believe that was settled on the field (as should be). Congratulations Eagles, now back to district play...keep it rollin:Thumbs:

Congrats to JC

Nice win for the Eagles but not surprising. I agree that JC could have gone for the century mark, but WHY? I don't think it was just because of respect for Paintsville. Probably the more likely reason is to avoid unnecessary injury. I mean who would want to see Grim break a leg in the 4th with the score 80-0? JC has a great team and should go deep into the playoffs. Matney put the game away and got the key people out. That is smart coaching!

What the hell is that suppose to mean, "Sure doesn't feel good does it Tigers." Paintsville dressed 19 players lastnight and that's the way it will be the rest of the season. Yes they will probably beat South Floyd very bad and yes some starters will still be in the game at the end but they can't help it, 19 players. I believe the coaches at JC are smarter than that PLAYBOY, they knew better than to go into Paintsville and hang 100 points and totally emabarass the young Paintsville team.

Yeah, he put his starting D back in the game to try and keep Paintsville from scoring in the 4th qaurter. That's real smart, risk getting Dials, Tackett and Johnson hurt, the best LB trio in the state and he wants to make fools out of Pville by shutting them out. JC has a real good shot at winning their region, they should win it. I just hope Matney don't screw those chances up by doing stuff like this.
