Let me first say that I think this kid is a great RB, and I can't wait to watch him over the next couple of years. He's a player, and in my opinion, the type of player Pikeville hasn't had since the Matt Branham, Barrett Rogers, Chase Gibson years.
But I have to ask a question just to clear up rumors that I constantly hear. How old is he and will he be able to play his senior year? I'm not trying to be negative, I only want to know so that I can tell people when they ask me a definite and precise answer. I know he is a holdback, and I am one of the people who encourage holding a kid back in school. But I guess the rumors I hear are to be expected because the system Harmon came through in middle school (Virgie) has cost a few kids their eligibility their senior seasons.
So, let's clear the air right now. Will he be of the right age his senior year, and will he be able to escape the penalties that cost Scott County star Rodney Haddix his eligiblity this season?

I'm not sure about his age, but I do have a question. What kids have lost their eligibility that have came through Virgie?

Give more detail please.
Under current KHSAA rules, if Harmon stayed back in the 8th grade he will not be eligible his senior season.
So what am I asking is, did he stay back before then.
To be honest, this is the area of concern to me and it has been a gray-area, so to speak, among the KHSAA for a while. But here lately they have been enforcing this rule harshly.

Now that I think about this thread, I believe this can accomplish nothing but negative for this particular high school student.
Is it really our place as a KY Sports website to determine this young man's eligibility???
No, I believe it is NOT.
Let's leave the kid alone and leave this up to the player, his parents, school administrators, and the KHSAA.
Therefore, this thread is closed.
