What The Bible says about discipling children
#1
Here are four verses from The Bible that tell parents to discipline their children. And yes, I do know that some parents are purposely mean to their children. But God tells us that when parents discipline their kids OUT OF LOVE, they are doing their parental duties.

Provers ch. 13 (KJV)
24: He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Proverbs ch. 22 (KJV)
15: Foolishness [is] bound in the heart of a child; [but] the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Proverbs ch. 22 (KJV)
6: Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs ch. 19 (KJV)
18: Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

When parents were told by some "experts" not to 'spank' their kids, then that was a turning point in American culture. And I don't even know if any schools still use corporal punishment.
