Way to go Jamie. Very good game. Was impressed with the play of Crum. Just one question, where was Jesse Meek?

McCarty amazed me tonight. IMO the best player in the region by far. This kid can play ball. He had 34 by halftime. It was very different seeing Crum in black and gold. I expected a better game out of him though. Jesse Meek didn't play because of technicals he has recieved.. The Cards didn't seem to let JC pull away. That was the story til mid 4th quarter. Looks as if they just got tired and the eagles took advantage. The season isn't looking too bad for the cards. With some dedication and hard work they can do something. I dont see any championships heading their way, but not a horrible team. Congrats JC on the win, and good luck to SC on the season ahead.

56pts, nice..I bet Jamie will be contacted by a few more in-state schools now for college whenever they pick up the paper and see this stat in the line scores. He just exploded didn't he?? Wow!!

Wow!!Coach Wells from Pikeville was in the house. I'd say he might be getting in contact with him soon.

I agree completely. His shot and overall skill, i see him, with enough dedication, going D-1.

I don't know if it would be worth it or not to go to Pikeville. Another in-state school, maybe. Congrats to the Eagles and #4 on their performance tonight. What did McCarty shoot from the floor?? (fg made/attempt)

He's definitly good enough to play at Morehead state, maybe someone should talk to starns to see what he can do for Jamie. Morehead is D-I basketball.

LOL...very true about after Jan. 1, but it's typical Pikeville to always go get some more guys like that. All the talent in the world (from about 7-8hrs away) that come to school and not go to class.

I would bet that he could start there and be the star of the team, hell if he scored over 10 points he would be a hero at Pikeville College.
Dude i know were not that good but we beat the Bears in pretty good fashion, he would still be the star after the players come back on Jan 1st

Congrats JC

well honesty jc didnt play there best game...mccarty and crum did well they outscored the cards by themselfs...i think with meek not playing hurt them a little i know jc won but by 24...but sc is a very bad team but jc is going to have to play a little better to beat paintsville and mccardy isnt going to score 56 on them(hope he does) so meek and crum are going to have to play well to win that game...

He couldn't be a star at Pikeville College bottom line. He isn't any better than Brad Lowe was in high school and he comes off the bench for Pikeville. McCarty is a good high school player against the competetion he faces nigh in night out, what did he do down at Rupp last year, NOTHING. The NAIA is good basketball I don't care what anyone says, McCarty would not be a star at any NAIA school.

Sc stayed close untill mid in the 4th and then McCarty got hot and could not be stoped

Let's see how he does against GOOD teams, we know he can put up WOW numbers against weak competition, what has he done against better competition, nothing. I would have been embarassed after that state tourney game last year.

WoW what a game!!!!!

Lowe is having sucess off the bench and I think they are close to being even on the bball court. McCarty shoots a little bit better but Lowe is more athletic and a better rebounder.

I don't think you guys who are bashing Jamie could score 50 if you were the out there by yourselves. The biggest knock on Jamie has been his defense and rebounding, both seem to be much better this year. He is a very hard worker in the off season. He is already the best scorer in the region, and if he continues to work and improve who's to say couldn't play for Pikeville or Morehead or anywhere for that matter. NAIA has great basketball talent. I played (sit the bench) with Bart Williams he was a Pikeville college great, and Rick Conley two time NAIA all-american and I can tell you Jamie is better than either at the same point in their career. Bart and Rick were late bloomers who grew and worked their way to being very good college players. I don't see why Jamie couldn't do the same.

Great game tonight by the Eagles. I was wondering the same thing about Meek so thanks for clearing that up. Sounds like McCarty was on fire tonight. Congrats to Crum on his double double as well.
About all this bashing of McCarty and Slone from ppl. Both are great players and dont need us to argue that. Its foolish to for this two schools to take jabs at one another. I always pull for JC, but when our season is done and if P-ville is still playing, I pull for the Tigers. Thats the way it should be. Both are great players and have the potential to do great things at this level and the next so lets enjoy these games instead of arguing about it.
