Belfry 42 Corbin 14
#1
Redhounds fought and played hard, but Belfry simply in a different class of talent.

Pirate Starting Offense goes 6 for 6 on their posessions and 4 different backs find the endzone. Fletcher and Willis lead the way
#2
Corbin drove the ball really well several times. Had they scored on their drives this would have been a closer game. Corbin has a great future over the next few years.

One more to go for the Pirates! Great schedule has paid off again.
#3
Belfry offensive line was DOMINANT.
#4
Congrats Corbin on a good season.

Congrats Belfry on making in back to BG yet again...

Belfry is a juggernaut this year. I just don't see anyone stopping them from reaching their goal of another championship.

I can't wait to hear from the haters and excuse makers.

Oh you won't hear from them until someone creates the Belfry/Lex Cath prediction thread. And then it will be the same dumb asses spouting their mouths off. Wait for it........

Sure wish we could have been there to watch the game tonight, but listened to it on the radio and Belfry Dominated. Good Luck in Bowling Green. Being Back The Trophy. Go Pirates.
#11
Congrats to Belfry. Corbin had a great season but Belfry was to much tonight.
#12
I thought Corbins DLine would be where they got beat and they did.

Too many bullets in the gun for Belfry.

Congrats Pirates. On to another trip to BG
#13
Hounds have a bunch coming back next year. They should be very competitive.
#14
The scoreboard doesnt reflect the effort Corbin gave.

Hounds definitely competed on Offense. Horton had 5 TFL's and a couple of them were HUGE to keep points off the board for Corbin. The Belfry LB'ers really played well. With 9 starters back the odds are basically even money we will see these two this same time next year down at Campbell Field.

Belfry's Offense is clicking, PERIOD. I dont remember the last time Devin Wellman had to punt in varsity. X Willis is playing RB as good as anyone in the state of Kentucky... he is a big play basically every time he touches it.

Special shout out to Pirate OL. I also thought Noah Corbett played an awesome game running the Offense and Andrew Flecther had one of his best games at FB.

Congratulations to both teams on their seasons!!

Belfry is on its' way to a third state tournament.

Congratulations Pirates!!!

Belfry played belfry ball and Corbin just couldn't handle it all game. Corbin made some stops and drove the ball really well at times. Their QB and RB I believe his name is Jewell and their receivers were all that really worked for them. Their receivers are really good blockers for Jewell. Belfry just has too many weapons. The O line is the biggest weapon of all to let the backs do what they do. Run it down the field. Heck of an effort Corbin. Congrats on an awesome season. Congrats pirates on BG X6. Let's get this 3peat. Goooo Belfry.
#17
Congrats to Belfry. Offense was a well oiled machine with lots of RPMs. You were the better overall team.
#18
Congrats on making back to BG. Hopefully my Cabell Midland Knights win there semifinals tomorrow at 1:30. Go get that trophy Belfry. Good luck.

As does Belfry. About certain to be a round 2 at Corbin next year in this state semi game.
#20
I think Haywood is about to catch on to this game.

Between these two teams they will return an unbelievable 35 of 44 total starters!

18 Starters will return for Belfry
17 Starters will return for Corbin

WOW!

I am pulling for you!

If CM wins that means 5 of Belfry's 10 regular season opponents will be playing next week for a State Title!

Knights are the real deal and rolling!

1A Pikeville 42 Paintsville 23 *Belfry won 34-8
2A Newport Catholic 15 Danville 7 * Belfry won 28-10
4A Johnson Central 21 Wayne County 14 *Belfry won 41-0
TN 4A Knoxville Catholic 54 Marshall County 35 *Belfry won 38-14

Cabell Midland is the only piece left to the puzzle!

64 is always welcome on the Belfry bandwagon... he was always very quick to put disclaimers on his Corbin predictions throughout the year.

Althoughr with 64's track record of Finals Predictions I would feel better if he picked against the Pirates Big Grin
