02-08-2007, 01:00 AM

Nothing good can come of playing a team like David
02-08-2007, 02:52 AM
The number one question should be, why is Allen Central playing David to begin with?
02-08-2007, 02:54 AM
why does anybody play anybody thats not the point...the point is that all this is blown way out of proportion...i just dont understand if it was such a big deal how come were just now hearing about it, its been like that for years
02-08-2007, 03:39 AM

This is sad! Pillersdorf needs to get his *** on t.v. and welcome everyone to the game and put all of this B.S. behind him and his school!

I spoke with a couple of players from AC and they have also said the game was closed to the public. I'm not sure who made the decision (David or AC). But I can just imagine Ned showing up with tons of media and his "friends" from "the justice center" and making a circus out of the game.
Good Luck tonight AC, I'm sure every Rebel fan will be rooting for you in their heart.

I would believe that decision would need to come from the superintendent of Floyd County. I haven't heard anything about the game not being open to the public but it could be possible I suppose.
02-08-2007, 10:24 AM
Kinda Dumb if you ask me
02-08-2007, 11:13 AM
The only one that shouldn't be allowed is DEAD HEAD NED. I hope the AC fans (if allowed in the Arena) applaude all the david school kids and when the announcer says DEAD HEAD NEDS name they boo for an hour. This man is a joke not to mention a lier. If allowed in the arena i sure will be there to see what transpires. I do hope that nothing goes on with the kids from david tho, they have nothing to do with it. Just hope the BOO DEAD HEAD NED all night.

maybe if we all got rid of our mascots and everybody was the freedom fighters we could all get along

This is true. We received confirmation on this late last night from Col. Maynard.
No one, including the media btw, is allowed inside the gym except for parents of the players, faculty and staff.
You know, if the braintrust that is the Floyd County School System wanted to let this thing just blow over, why make such a big deal about this by banning fans from the game?
Stupid decision. No one cares anymore. The situation has been put to rest, but for some reason they left the handle of the ax sticking out after it was burried.
02-08-2007, 01:06 PM
thats pointless they should just have just cancelled the game i wouldn't call anybody in floyd county the braintrust

Trust me I was being sarcastic when I referred to the Board as the braintrust. :lmao:

Its really a shame that this has to happen, the players from David wouldnt be in any danger what so ever if the public was allowed. Like I said they go out there and compete as hard as they can and thats all you can ask for. But you can thank "DEAD HEAD NED" as someone referred him on here for all this, and also Mickey Mcguire, cant forget him.

I thought after the news conference, that all of this would be put to rest but I guess the board doesn't want it to go away. Also after all the media coming down on AC for no reason, as pointed out in the news conference, no one has appologized publicly to AC faculty, staff, students, players and fans for putting them in a negative light unjustly. I thought there was a good letter to the editor in Friday's Floyd County Times from someone outside this area on just that subject.
I am sure the players will show the utmost respect for each other and both teams will play to the best of their abilities.

im not from that area but i do know that a school honoring their heritage by making their school mascot a rebel is no disrespectful to anyone...thats history and you can change it you can only look back and see how far you've come with it...ac is doing nothing wrong!!!

Game Closed To Public
Officials with Allen Central High School are saying the game tonight with the David School is closed to the public.
The game has been enveloped in controversy because of the use of the confederate flag by Allen Central High School.
Earlier this season the David School had cancelled the game. The coach said because of the use of the flag.
But administrators later said the players would play because the cancellation didn't follow proper protocol.
Officials with the Kentucky High School Athletics Association say school officials can close the game if they feel it would be a danger to students or the community.

this is true for sure because just read on wymtnews.com

It's amazing. The fans and players want to play. But, one coach can cause this much trouble.

PillarsDork is a liar and now the whole country as well as Eastern KY including his own players take him as a joke and I guess he is kind of. His players were even on WYMT saying they didn't recall the whole incident that PillarsDork said happened. I respect the David players for standing up for themselves but I'll never respect the two men behind this and I never liked liars either, and that's coming from someone who is not a fan of either school but just an opinion from a random person.

This is what I don't understand about it. The public isn't allowed to watch the game, only parents, players and coaches. I don't understand what that proves. The Rebel Flag will still be in the concessions area, the flag still on the wall. The Rebels will still be the Rebels if people are in there watching or not. So why is it closed to the public? I just wonder if it was Davids home game where they would get most of the gate if it still would be closed.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.
